how can i test my 94 ls400 fuel pressure!!??? PLEASE HELP!!
can someone post pics or have good directions on how to test my fuel pressure I believe my car is starving for fuel under heavy load!

Symptoms?
Any of these?
● problems in getting into diagnostic mode or scanner says "no communication"
● random dropping into "limp home" mode
● weird shifting problems
● OBD port is unresponsive, seems dead
● throwing random fault codes
● engine won't rev out/rev limits at 2000 or less rpm
● engine runs like crap, then suddenly runs fine again
● random not starting or cutting out
● low idle or erratic idle
● often very hard to start, requires starting fluid
● transmission will not automatically shift, only manual shift is possible
● transmission jerks from 1st to 2nd gear, and kinda slips from 2nd to 3rd
● no A/C compressor operation
● idle speed rolling up and down, or sometimes too low and sometimes too high
● speedometer not working reliably
● speed (cruise) control not working
● tachometer not working sometimes
● air bag light flickering intermittently
● A/C going into reset with flashing front defog light (front defog light typically flashing 10 times)
● check engine light on sometimes, but no codes stored, often in concert with ECT light
● ECU not communicating with scanners or not displaying codes with jumper installed
● bad sulfur exhaust smell in concert with not running right above

I pulled the codes from the on board diagnostics an I got the codes 24 31 41 71... I have changed the ecu which cleared my issues however a few weeks later the same problems came back... but to answer your question my car shifts fine 1st to 2nd but shifts from 2nd to 3rd very quick which I then manually downshift to second to accelerate but my car feels likes im pulling another car.. also whenever I go to far into the throttle for passing etc it only revs to 2k rmp before the throttle cuts out which also causes my cel to come on but once I let off the gas 3-5 seconds later the cel goes off

it sounds like you have delt with several ls400 problem's, everytime I mash the throttle or hard accelerated the engine cuts out and sounds starved for fuel. Anything obvious I should know? Thank you

Carry over from PM, I've not heard that the '94's had to remove any solder to inspect the boards. Unscrew and remove the cover as far as I am aware. Is highly likely the capacitors will need to be replaced anyhow. So once in there, may as well replace to eliminate one of the potential running problems. Do the capacitors first, this is a low cost part to repair. The TPS may be ok so until the ECU is ruled out, this will prevent additional wallet drain.
