Dovydas Lexus IS200 (pic heavy)
Hi guys, newbie here.
My name is David (Dovydas to be precise) and Im from the middle of Europe, country called Lithuania.
I drive Lexus IS200. It has 2liter straight six with 6 speed manual.
Its not the prettiest thing in the world as a stock car, but once you add few bits it does look MAAAaaad
I quite enjoyed the car as stock for a long time and it was hard to start modifying it because car was in mint condition, except the rims. They were realy nasty, so i repainted them. After some time I did small mods, such as: yellowish bulbs for fogs and high beams, red tinted backlights just to stand out from the crowd and fitted facelift grills.
Nasty rims:
but lovely interior:
Diff between grills:
And xmas special:

After some time I ordered a fiber glass jdm altezza splitter (dont mind the citroen covers lolol)
it was rubbish, too hard to fit, badly made and i didnt like the fiberglass as a material for such part, so i sold it. The only reason i bought it was because it was the only lip that looked good without getting car low. At that time i wasnt really sure if I will able make it lower (money issues). After a huge fail with fiberglass I ordered polyurethane Greddy style lip from eBay. I know its not a big deal for you guys, but its like fitting EU or JDM parts in US. It was quite a mistake again, not only because it was expensive, but it didnt fit. Then i realised that USDM and EU bumpers are different
The lip was too long at the sides about an inch. And to get it worse, no body shop could help me since nobody knows how to deal with polyurethane bumpers. Somehow i managed to shorten it, glue it with polyurethane glue and strengthen everythin with rivets
After that it was time for the wheels! The budget was small so i bought cheap freshly refurbished 17" 8J Rondell Mesh rims and saved all leftover money for something nicer.
Bought Blox purple nuts to brighten things up and match my purple vip knot inside
and TRW black edition sloted rotors with all the pads.
To make it lower i bought oem Altezza Gabsports coilovers, but hey were in quite bad condition, the locking rings did not move, so I had to cut them, also three of them were refurbished, but i managed to make new rings and zink coat all bare metal parts of the coilovers.

How everything looked on the car:
I wanted clean looks, so i got the lip painted:

Participated in a local car show "Refresh'14". My lex wasnt even close to show car that day, but i was happy to be a part of the event.
It was only the begining of the season so i rode it like this for a while and kept looking for better wheels.
Yet i couldnt stop adding little touches as DRL high beams and rear FOG/brake light conversion which you guys already have cuz you dont need fog lights in the back.
While searching for rims on craiglist i made few photoshops:
but none of them was good for me, yet i had no idea what i want.
And sudennly I found 2piece Rays Engineering VRX10 18" 8/9J ET35/38 shipped straight from japan 8) Very good condition, only few curb rushes which were easy to fix:
Right after I sold my Rondells:
And here it is:
and i loved it, drove it with no problems, rubbing or somethin, but the fitment wasnt good enough so i ordered some spacers/adapters 2x25mm and 2x30mm 8)
With everything on:

I've used universal DRL module from ebay. The one i used was made in Poland and it wasnt like the oem drl. Oem drl uses big resistors, that get hot, but this one sorks on impulses and doesnt heat at all. Sorry to say that, but they are no longer avalaible as i see... Try to search for "drl high beam module" on ebay, maybe that will do for ya, good luck!

Wow! Thanks for all of the pictures that you provided for us to look at here too. There is so much that you can do with this vehicle, and I really am amazed by how much love and passion everyone has for these cars. The updates that you did are amazing – I may use them as an inspiration when I finally take the leap and try to do these sorts of things on my own vehicle!
