Alternator Fuse Keeps Blowing
Hello and a pre thank you to all for your help.
I have an 03 IS300 that I've had for 3 years. Love it. I'll give you the recent work done and my now final result. Car wouldn't start one morning (note: all electronics were working though). While trying to start it the key ended up getting stuck in ACC position. The easiest and cheapest solution was to buy a used ECU, ignition cylinder, master key, door handle with lock, trunk lock, and glove box lock from an 02 IS300. Installed it all without a hitch. Battery was dead so I used a jump box to jump the battery. Car started fine but dash and electronics(windows, locks, stereo, etc) would't work as well as it not coming out of park(unless I push the override button). When I shut the jump box off car soon died out. I noticed the alternator fuse was blown. Figured it's easy enough and free to swap out the alternator(lifetime warranty) to eliminate the alternator causing the blown fuse. So I did so as well as replaced the alternator fuse and started the car again. Alternator fuse blew again. This is where I am now stuck. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. In case I've left anything out please feel free to ask.Thank you again.
