Good points, I used to be a just 2 door person, those extra 2 doors are nice for access, not nice when theres a problem like windows etc.

Coolness

i have had plenty of cars and have pretty much owned everything i have wanted besides exotics. To me unique cars are awesome. Some may see an r8 or whatever they like but for me that does nothing. I have a taste in rare/unique cars hence why this build. Its not supposed to be a serious time attack car etc Just something that i make look cool and hopefully get it to perform decent while smiling the whole time.

If i wanted to make competitive track car ls400 would probably be my last choice.

Goal is to just have fun with it and hopefully surprise some people on the road coarse. Would be awesome to see an ls400 hunting down an s2000 or an evo or something on the track lol

Anyways here some progress.

Spent A TON of time prepping the ineterior to paint white. did that. (never want to do that again)

Also Sideskirts sort of finished. Not perfect but good enough to look good on a track car. Also finished most prep work on the car fixed major dents etc.

Are you going to paint this car? I know nothing about track cars so pardon me if that was a stupid question.

Yes with any car i own it must look good. I can't stand having an ugly car no matter how it performs.

looks really good painted and the cage looks great!

Not really sure about that diffusor though...
Then again I find it amusing when people waste their time building/designing diffusors for cars that have zero air flow control under or at the front of the car that makes them of any use. There is sooooooooo much going on under and behind a car that such devices 99.9% of the time actually end up hurting performance.

the diffuser is for looks mostly. The car is a 4000lb ****box... if i was doing f1 racing than a diffuser would be wind tunnel tested. For a car that i plan to have fun in and **** around in. Its mostly to help with the aggressive looks of the car.

Is that a fuel cell in the trunk or did you stick with the stock gas tank?

It's looking good. Did you remove the door handles before you painted?

Nope not for this car. Usually gets taken out. For a track car i didn't as you wont really notice the difference and its far from show car.
