Been quite a while since the last time I've posted on this thread, being that it's dead lol.
Just wanted to post one last update for those who may take any interest in what happened after the wreck..
After a month of driving around the neck breaking., super fast, super sleek; Hundai Elantra as a rental while the IS was in the shop, I finally came around.
I test drove a few Infiniti's; g37 coupes and sedans, although quick, I wasn't a fan. Strolled around into the Euro parking lots, wasn't a fan.
Really, I just wanted my car back.
I wanted the cramped leg room, the under powered 2.5 liter, leather pealing, bumper-tab broken-lexus I drove to the moon, a few planets further, and back.
So I did just that.
I had previously told myself I wouldn't take an is250 for nothing, fell inlove every time I would drive friend's is350's/F's, why would I pick another 250?
Well, I took another is250 lol.
Not able to post any pictures here off my office computer, but never the less, it's a
2012 Nebula Grey Is250 F-Sport w/ 30k miles.. (more like 38 from traveling around since may lol) Purchased from Sewell Lexus Dallas, $26k off the lot.
Although it isn't a 350 or an F, I love it. Can't wait to bag it, throw some Works, upgrade the breaks, and tweak the sound. Or maybe just keep it stock, looks great either way, stay in tune

What color wheels will look the best?
Those Wheels look killer!
I am New to this forum and hope it is still alive! Great to share information with other IS enthusiasts! You all have great taste.. Lol
I want new 19 inch rims on my truffle mica IS to replace the stock ones. But I don't know what colors would look good. Now looking at matt bronze, hyper gray, white or silver wheels...
Please help me out and give your opinion on what wheels you prefer!! Share your pictures so I can take a look for myself!
Thanks!

Hey man!
I was surprised to get an email update from CL after all these years. Looking through this old thread made me smile, as I forgot how much fun it was to complete a project like that and well as the community itself.
Imo regarding your question, a bronze color would be complimentary to the truffle. Although the wheel itself would need to be something unique and deep concave. Looking back at those Ag’s I had, I feel like a bronze in that style would have looked great. I would run 19x10.5R and 19x9F with a drop.

Hey mate!
Thanks for replying! Do you still have the IS or are you driving Another Car now?
Putting mods on your car isn't that usual over here.. So I have to import mods from the US most of the time. That makes my ride unique but is an expensive hobby. Just ordered the fsport grill. Next project is deleting the chrome on my car and getting new wheels for summer time. Also thinking about installing a new back car exhaust system so the car will sound more aggressive. Do you have any experience with a other back cat exhaust system? I am always open for advice! It's a shame they don't sell the is350 here in Holland, otherwise I would have bought that one.
I am surely going to look into getting Matt Bronze 19 inch rims now! I Saw some Japan Racing Wheels JR18 that I really like. Do they Sell those in the US too? Check them out if you like to..
Still not sure about the drop though. I like the look of it for sure but I don't want to have to go cross and really slow across those dawm speedbumps we have all over the place.
talk to you later!
