Well, finally decided to start a build tread )

Have been riding my car since January 2014. Some nice parts are installed, and nicer ones are to come )

The goal of the build is to create a sporty JDM-style-looking (and feeling) car, using only Genuine Lexus/Toyota accessories and parts from the well respected Japanese brands with a strong motorsport presence and heritage . The stock IS'13 has a pretty wild exterior, and it was (one of) the most sharp-looking production car at the time of its release (excluding supercars, of course). So I don't think the IS needs much exterior fluff, just subtle touches like wheels, drop, lip/spoiler. Well, here we go!

It's time to look closer at the parts and let's start with the wheels )

Here are Yokohama Advan AVS T6 18x8 ET48. It's a classic JDM sporty wheel, light enough and tipping the scales at 8.6 kg. Bought them brand new in boxes from a friend. The price was a steal, so quite non-agressive specs were ignored )

Interesting detail about the spokes - they are on the fatty side, but inside they are hollow! Note the black rubber plugs (with AVS logo!) on the spoke ends near the rim, covering the exits of the hollows:

The slight concavity of the spokes:

Each wheel comes with a true bolt-on center cap, bolts, valve stem and 19 hex key:

Cap installed:

Looks gorgeous in person )

The OEM Toyota TPWS sensor fits perfectly:

First of all, the boot will remain the same. The only part You'll have to replace will be the plastic clip that connects the boot to the ****, because IS any GS ***** have different connectors. Than't why the whole part from GS still must be purchased. Remove the connecting piece from the boot, install it into IS' one, and then connect to the new shift ****. The fitment is perfect.

GS F Sport **** part number 33504-30440-C3
GS F Sport boot part number 58808-30200-C2
