The pursuit of F
A lot of us have been going with the darker to black wheels on our cars as it's the trend the last couple years, yet I find it so refreshing to see your silver Rays wheels contrasting really well on your Obsidian IS.

Yeah, that's the point. I bucked the trend of getting black/graphite/gunmetal or another dark wheels in favor of a classic look - bright silver rims on the black car. Can't go wrong with this combo )

Well, small parts obsession continues )
Got a pair of the rare (couldn't find them in Russia, ordered directly from Japan) PIAA Spark Moon room lamps to complete my PIAA-made exterior & interior lighting. I used the OEM LS600h LED door courtesy lamps but they looked yellowish compared to the rest 6000K lights. These huge flat LEDs give a perfect light dispersion through the factory reflectors (unlike the bulb-shaped LEDs) and their color makes a perfect uniformity with the rest of interior and mirror puddle lights. Very bright, but still pleasant to the eyes.
Another nice and small JDM interior mod is the popular among the japanese Lexus and Toyota owners solid emblem base for the steering wheel. I have chosen the one made by Grazio & Co (there are another companies manufacturing this kind of accessories in Japan) - a perfect laser-cut shape and mirror-glossy black surface should add some luxury to the IS cabin )
Waiting for the holidays to install all the fresh parts. Pics will follow.

Got some great detailing and the first engine wash. The engine bay looks better than it was when I rolled out the new car from a dealer's showroom )
All the magic was created by Koch Chemie products - Golden Star Motorreiniger (engine shampoo) and Motorplast (engine conserver).
Also finally installed the drop-in filter from TOM'S Racing. Can't report any performance gains after a short run, but the sound gen seems a bit more throaty after 3500 rpm.

The detailing work is as much impressive as the engine cleaning is:
About eight (!!!) hours of abrasive polishing, then anti-hologram work, and the nano-laquer (1-K-Nano-Lackversiegelung) application as the final touch. All the chemistry used was Koch-made, as always, and the result is truly amazing! Feels like driving a brand new car. Again )

While the engine is clean, installed the original TOM'S oil filler cap - an anodized black one matches the blacky bay perfectly! Very expensive, but a pure JDM fetish )

To continue the "under the hood" theme here are fresh pics of the recently installed Cusco tower bar. The shiny polished aluminum bar is really stunning in person and the anodized blue brackets really refresh the black on black engine bay )

So how does it feel with the Tanabe under brace? I'm thinking about installing on my car. I want to improve the stability and handling of the car since I've got the 20 inch wheels.

Tanabe under brace is uninstalled and sold, but I can say that effect from tower bar combined with under brace is really noticeable. You won't feel any difference from the under brace alone, so get tower + under if You wanna notice the improved handling.
I'm gonna add TOM'S under brace - should be a perfect pair for my Cusco bar.
