I just got the wheels back from power coating. My crappy cell phone pic doesn't remotely do it justice. The color and finish is AMAZING. I'm not sure if there is any variance in weight between wheels. I weighed one before powder coating and it was 20 lb 3.5 oz. After powder coating the wheel I weighed was 20 lb 8 oz, so it appears the powder coating and clear coat added 4.5 oz, if my baby scale is accurate.

I'm getting the tires mounted tomorrow. I will post high quality pics when it's done.

I just picked up my new wheels and tires. IMO they look fantastic. I had the 18x9.5 +45 Enkei PF01s power coated Galaxy Gray III color. On them are mounted 275/35R18 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires.

I ordered the tires because Tire Rack has similar measured widths listed for the PSS and the RE-71R.

According to Tire Rack:
275/30R19 PSS 10.2" tread width - 10.9" overall width on a 9.5" wheel
275/35R18 RE-71R 10.0" tread width - 10.9" overall width on a 9.5" wheel

I can tell you by looking at them that the RE-71R is definitely wider. I hope it fits on the front of my car. I previously mounted my rear 275/35R19 PSS tires on the front of my car with a 10mm spacer to make it a 19x9 +45 front. The tires cleared (barely) at full lock each direction. We'll see if these wider RE-71Rs clear as well. I'll update everybody when I actually get these on the car...I didn't realize I needed to get narrower lug nuts to fit these.

For some reason I thought I read that each wheel weighed approx. 18 pounds each, guess not. I'm thinking of picking up these same wheels, please take profile pics when mounted, I'd love to see how it looks from the side. I feel like these wheels might be a bit too small for the size of the F (for aesthetic purposes). I know that a lot of e92 M3s use 18 inch wheels, but their height and profile of the car looks smaller and sleeker than our car's. Performance wise I know that these make the most sense.

Nice pick ups, I'm sure you'll be able to tell a huge difference in acceleration once the brakes and wheels are both on.

I finally put the PF01s and Potenza RE071Rs on about an hour ago. Unfortunately it is dark and raining so it was very difficult to get any good pics.

I was hoping to run these wheels and tires at Summit Point this weekend, but unfortunately I'll be running my stock wheels with Michelin PSS tires. Surprisingly the fronts seem to fit, drive and turn with no rubbing at all (it is very very tight though). The rears on the other hand rub a little over bumps...nothing a mild fender roll won't solve though. These tires are easily as wide or wider than most 285mm rubber.

That's awesome. Definitely seems to be the ideal size for a lot of rubber. My 19x10 square set up is just a bit too aggressive for me to fit the tires I would really like to. How do they feel?

I'm really tired right now and still on an adrenaline high from the 8 HPDE sessions over the last 2 days...I covered about 25 miles per session so combined it was 200 miles (&40 gallons of fuel) of trying to break the ISF on the track...it didn't work . I'll post at a later date regarding my experiences and how phenomenally the brake, diff, suspension, and tire setup worked. If I tried to articulate everything right now it would be sloppy and confusing at best. Anyway, here are a few pics from the weekend. I have a bunch more but here are my ISF and a few of the cars parked near me in the paddock.

I had the ISF weighed while at the track this weekend. They wrote down all the weights by hand but I made a quick slide to make it easier to read.

These weights are of my ISF with all the interior left untouched (maybe 2 lb of small stuff in glove box etc) but everything taken out of the trunk. Mods additionally affecting weight are Borla catback exhaust (lighter), BC coilovers/Swift springs (lighter), OS Gikken TCD (heavier), RacingBrake 2 pc rotors (lighter), Enkei PF01 wheels (lighter) and Potenza RE-71R tires (slightly heavier).

I went to the Lexus dealer today to chat with my buddy there. I had them give me a free car wash so I thought I would snap a few clean pics of the new setup. You can't tell in the pics but they did a marginal job at best cleaning the wheels, but in all most of the track crud is gone. I really like how the powder coated Enkeis turned out.

It's not the ISF, but I just installed a VR Tuned tuning box on my wife's Cayenne diesel yesterday. I routed everything so that it would take a trained eye to notice the tuning box and wiring that snakes throughout the engine bay to the camshaft sensor, rail pressure sensor, and boost pressure sensor.

Geico may save you 15% in 15 minutes, but in 15 minutes of install I added 55 bhp and 55 lb/ft. The power delivery is even better now and the torque from 1800-3000 is phenomenal. I think my wife is a little less pissed now about how much I've been spending on the ISF lately. I even gave the Cayenne a full detail yesterday.

This 5000 lb Cayenne is probably a high 14 second SUV now, but can still get 33 mpg on cruise control at 85 mph. It is definitely our family's preferred road trip vehicle.

The ISF has been garaged for the winter again so I've been focusing more attention on my truck. In case anybody is interested in seeing one of my other vehicular obsessions, here is my truck build thread. Too much of my money has gone into it recently.
