Just got a response back from a local dealer saying that the 19" BC Forged monoblock wheels start at $3960 per set shipped. Not cheap at all, but less expensive than other manufacturers that offer fully customized monoblock forged wheels.

I purchased a set of Enkei PF01 18x9.5 +45 wheels, which should be delivered tomorrow. I've been searching CL for track prep advice and rediscovered the thread below. Since it's not in the ISF section I am putting it below for quick reference.

Sorry for the crappy dark pic, but boy does the ISF look better after the first full spring wash.

I haven't mounted the PF01s yet because I was debating tires to install. I still have decent tread left on my current Michelin PSS tires so I'm not in any rush. I just discussed powder coating options with a local shop today. I've decided to get the Enkeis powder coated in gunmetal. The shop is backlogged a bit so I probably won't get the wheels back for another month. After that I plan on having 275/35R18 Michelin PSS tires mounted on 2 of the wheels. I will put them on the rear to see how much extra clearance I have. If there seems to be reasonable clearance I may roll the rear fenders flat and install 295/35R18 Michelin PSS tires on the other 2 wheels. If not I will run a squared 275/35R18 setup.

I dropped the Enkeis off at the shop this morning to get powered coated. I was curious how powder coating would affect the weight so I got a before weight of one of the wheels. It is pretty much dead on with the weight Enkei has listed for a PF01 18x9.5 +45 5x114.3 wheel. Enkei lists 20.35 lbs, and my scale said it was 20 lbs 3.5 oz. (20.22 lbs).

My prediction is the weight gain will be negligible if there is any weight gain at all. They are going to strip the wheel of the paint before the powder coating so the two might offset themselves. We'll see.

Oh, almost forgot to add that I'm getting the wheels powder coated as close to the stock ISF wheel gunmetal as I could find.

Nice!

Should look lovely once they finish with them.

I agree the weight gain if any will be negligible.

Look forward to further updates.

Here's a few pics I snapped while at Hyper-Fest at VIR, May 02/03 2015.

I just ordered front and rear 2pc Racingbrake rotors from FIGS a few minutes ago. I'm pairing them with the Carbotech XP8 (mild track) pads.

I've got some more track days coming up and I can't wait to see how these perform...not to mention the 275/35R18 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires I'm going to mount in a squared setup on Enkei PF01 18x9.5 +45 wheels.

After this my ISF will be mostly setup the way I want. Now I just need to keep improving my ability to use all of its capability!!!

Even though I have had my ISF since new and am well aware there isn't a tuning option for us yet, I figured I do a little *****ing about it again. I haven't touched the subject in quite some time...

I just purchased a VR Tuned tuning box (piggy back) for my wife's Porsche Cayenne diesel today...it just occurred to me. I have 4 vehicles in my garage: an ISF, a Ram 1500, a Cayenne diesel, and a CBR1000RR. After I put the tuner box on my Cayenne, the ISF (the most modified vehicle in my garage) will be the only one that isn't tuned for the performance mods I've added...CRAZY.

I'm paying $630 for the VR Tuned tuner box for the Cayenne and the claimed gains are 55 bhp and 55 lb ft. I really wish that was possible for the ISF!!!

Rant done.

UPDATE:

The Enkeis are taking longer than expected to get powder coated because the shop is swamped and they have to fully strip the wheels. They told me that because the finish is high quality on the PF01s it takes them a lot longer to prep them for power coating. I should have them back by the end of next week.

Today I ordered a set of 275/35R18 Potenza RE-71R tires. They are brand new and hard to get so the shop can't get them for about 10 days.

My Carbotech pads arrived from Figs today and the Racingbrake 2 pc rotors are en route. Does anybody have experience breaking in the XP8 pads? I have a feeling it is going to be tough to properly break them in on the road unless I do it on the freeway at 3 am and hope the police don't pull me over for driving erratically. I broke in my Proj Mu pads on the freeway a few years ago and that was a PIA. I imagine the XP8s are much harder to get to operating temps.

I just installed a new mod today as well. I think it will drop my lap times the most of any other mod...a Figs sticker FTW!!!

So, I may get a big new mod for my ISF...a new garage mate. I'm seriously considering selling my Ram 1500 and getting a 2015 Ram Power Wagon.
