Did a "in the nature" quick photoshoot today.

Juggling ideas of some wheels.

Then saw this scary Rolls Royce

They are DropStars DS644's, the one's on the RR are 6-spoke. I really like both, but can't decide on which would look better on the LS430.

What do you guys think?

Hmm, I think I'd lean more towards the 5-spoke. The 6-spoke is just a bit too "sporty" for this particular case.

That's a good point, thanks VMR.

Only wish the configurator would have the 6-spoke so that I could see it on the car.

I guess part of what makes the 6-spoke look so good on the RR, is because it is huge! 24' rims are no joke.

Thanks!

Sadly I found out today that the 6-spoke wheel on the RR doesn't come in 20's! Only comes in 24" and 26". Really sucks! Was looking forward to that wheel.

Back to black!

I re-dipped my wheels, but this time I used DYC's new product, called "Top coat'. Which is basically a really glossy top coat that you can spray over any type or color of plastidip to give it that paint gloss finish and be shiny all the time!

I love it.

I did the wheels in black then sprayed the gloss over.

Same with the grill's outer line, but I sprayed the center part anthracite grey, and then sprayed the gloss over it.

I just need to spray the silver trim on the bumper and sides to match the wheels. But you can see how the grill matches up with the headlights now.

Got the car lowered to the wanted height with no problems, finally.
No fender work done.

No rubbing either.

Wrapped up the roof in "3M 1080, G212 Gloss black metallic"

This is a really glossy black and sparkly metallic too. It is not too black, a little transparent if you look really closely.
The car looks like it has panoramic sunroof now. Way better than the normal gloss black vinyl.
Happy with the results.

Finally finished adding the extra halo on the LS430 projector. Got twin halos now, one on the D2S one on the 430.

Also added a small LED on the far corner on the headlight housing. Since I painted the headlights black, and my car is a dark colored, at night my car looked like it was a UCF30, or a 2001-2003 version before the facelift. Because of how the headlights blended in with the fender, it really looked like the older headlights. so I had to change that.
So now this LED in the far top corner lights up the housing of the headlight and displays it appropriately in it's full size.

Also mounted the harness fuse box correctly and made everything look OEM and tidy.

Interesting choice for the outside halos, I would have mounted them further back on the shroud to get a bigger ring in there but still every time I see this car, especially on hidplanet I feel the urge to retro/mod this cars lights too. Props man

Hahaha thanks Zander!

Absolutely on the halo's being further back covering the whole shroud, but I couldn't get a clean OEM look doing it, so I went with the outer circle of the lens.

I did forget to mention that I have won the "Retrofit Of The Month" this past month, my car is on top of the website ;D
