When I got the motor it came with the engine harness, and about 75% of the car side of the harness.
I was able to utilize that for the wire tuck. I relocated the fuse box(s)

I'm disappointed with the lack of being able to find photos that I know I've taken over the years.

Here's a section thru 1 of 3, of the main body harnesses.

When i'm working on a project, I usually take all of the wire harnesses and break them down into sections for the areas that have connectors on them.
And regular wire gets bundled in the same way, different boxes.

Get those fenders off to make it easier to access all the wire and grommets

Get everything laid out how you want it, with labels on everything

I label the wires in two locations and cut, so I know which areas go to each wire.

There was enough of the JDM harness to color match everything

I got some wheel dolly's for x-max from the in-laws a few years ago.

This makes working on the car a breeze

Here's a few more of the wiring for the relocate on areas that I didn't have matching colors. Each pin was tested and connected one at a time.

I'm also relocating the ABS pump since it sits right near the down pipe.
I kept all of the lines in tact in case the plan backfires, though I've done this before successfully.

I was able to reuse the bracket by cutting a few of the tabs off.

I didn't want to rock the knockoff purple HKS rail, but since its a chunk of aluminum - why not remove the anodizing and recoat it.
The whole thing has been reworked anyway. The low quality coating on these parts are so thin in microns, its pretty easy to strip with household cleaners.

If you remember, this is what it looked like before

You can see how thin it really is in this photo

Here's the first coat of oven cleaner

It starts coming off relatively quick

The further I get along in the build, the more I realize how important quality parts are.

And here's the vicious cycle that claims all our money for the car guys and gals out there -

Example, something goes wrong in the bottom end.
This goes without saying and is self explanatory - Piston lets loose, takes a rod thru the block possibly damaging the crank.
Now your block is toast, but in addition the piston stops at TDC or somewhere in between right.. or the timing belt or tensioner takes a dump... by-by valves, which coincidentally take out the head.
Possibly damaging a cam. Now your whole motor is phuked-repeat phuked...

(I should note, this mentality has plagued at least 8 of my car builds thru the years)
The problem is - where do you stop ? you keep taking out the fuses aka weak OEM links.
Sure people have made 1000hp on stock motors.

That's not what this is about - rather chasing your tail with parts purchases and twisted minds after reading build threads on the internetz.

I got pistons since the stock ones were looking well used. Then i'm thinking... I may as well throw a set of rods in...
then it turns into, shoot I almost have a built bottom end. I should do main studs.
Then it turns into, shoot; I should do some good head studs.
By then your thinking, shoot... I almost have a fully built motor.
I should do some cams...
Maybe I should do some head-work to take advantage of the cams...
Well, sheit I may as well do an intake too... and the sick cycle of madness continues...

Can you do it with less, absolutely... is it as much fun... absolutely. Did that work in my head... absolutely not... so here we are... more parts

The timing tensioner brackets are known that when the tough get going... the going take a dump

Now this part I was shocked about. I expected a billet aluminum part to show up. What arrived was a CNC steel beast

Picked up an ATI crank after realizing I didn't want a crank pulley thru my hood. Got this titan pulley for a sweet-heart of a deal

Joe, mainly it was good past experience with ATI and current reputation.
The wicked price didn't hurt either.

Do you ever make it up north ? Bothell/Lynnwood ?

I used to travel up every month or two for meds, but not any more. I pretty much spend all my time in Vancouver or Portland.
