@2ISLexus Build Thread
Hi all,
Wanted to start a build thread to show some progress on my 2008 Matador Red Lexus IS350.
Found the car on ebay- It was the original owner selling it with only 55k miles on it. Never driven in any type of snow or barely even rain. For examples, the brakes were all original with not a single spec of surface rust, the interior is immaculate and the underneath of the car looked like it just left the showroom. Never had a single panel ever painted (not even the bumpers). Also, looked at the service records through lexus and the oil was changed every six months (because of time, not miles) I knew this car was well taken care of and I had to have it. I drove with a trailer over 200 miles to go pick the car up.

Picked up the car on Saturday, September 2nd 2017:
Here are some photos when I got the car home:
After having the car for about a week (Sept. 12, 2017), I knew I needed to lower it, I was going back and forth between an aggressive coilover setup or air suspension. I ultimately chose to bite the bullet and go with an Airlift 3p setup on my is350. I wanted to save the fenders, fender liners, underneath and lips from getting damaged and I could get in and out of my driveway even when I put a front lip on. Took me and my buddy about a full weekend to finish the air install. We made custom brackets to float the seamless 5 gallon tank, cut wood and covered in carpet to mount the compressors and manifold and ran all airlines through the spare wheel well.

Then I needed wheels, I originally was going to do a three piece wheel like a work meister, but I found a set of OEM GSF wheels online for sale. I have always loved the OEM+ look on cars, so I wanted the challenge of fitting them onto an IS350 with stock body.
