DIY install? Do you not have the right tools or leverage to get the bolt out or something? Do you have a larger pry bar to help with the LCA movement?

Yeah, this was a DIY mod using basic tools. I used the stock lug nut remover to deflect the LCA enough in order to get the clearance to pull the bracket w/ the bushing out. Trying to break loose the heavily-torqued long bolts was also another challenge. Was it all worth it? Definitely!

Ah, I see; it was difficult because you didn't have the right tools. Been there before! LOL! Over the past 20yrs though, I've pretty much gathered up everything needed for anything needing to be done on a car...except welding and machine work. If you have a Harbor Freight in your area, I'd recommend a visit for the basics (various torque wrenches, pry bars, bushing press, jacks, stands, etc.) Don't forget a coupon too!

Here are a few videos of an autocross event that I attended last weekend in my IS350. The 1st video is the Test and Tune session with a simple course layout and the 2nd video is the Timed Run session with a more technical course layout that featured some chicanes, a skidpad, and S-Turns to maneuver through.

The OS Giken TCD LSD maintained excellent grip on the rear tires in nearly all cornering situations with hardly any wheelspin except on the skidpad (which has nearly no surface friction to begin with).

The IS350 could have accelerated a lot harder out of the apexes but I had to play it safe since there were essentially no runoff areas if you went off the track (meaning you'd end up in the watery marshes and would have to get towed out).

I placed an order on a fairly unique performance mod which is a set of Solid Billet Aluminum Rear Subframe Suspension Braces. It's stronger than the stamped steel factory support and is designed to further strengthen the subframe so that there is minimal flex to improve response and handling.

The Solid Rear Differential Ear Mounts as well as the F-Sport Chassis Brace do a noticeably great job at keeping the rear end of the car planted during high-g cornering. Hopefully this Rear Subframe Brace upgrade will further enhance responsiveness and keeping the rear stable at the track.

The braces are located close to the differential ear mounts:

Oh lol, why am I seeing Miata everywhere when I go to autocross!!! I thought it is a Southern CA thing but not from your picture in Florida lol. Can it be less Miata please! I'm kind of sick of seeing it overpopulate the autocross event. I want MORE and MORE and MORE Lexus IS to show up!!!

Somehow everytime I go to autocross, I feel myself being exclusive because I'm the ONLY 1 with the Lexus IS350 lol! I feel like owning an exclusive super car at the event :P

But it isn't his, due to the IS-F carrier in the pic. That was an IS-F underbody shot. Plus the true dual exhaust Red doesn't have.

Correct. That pic was taken by an IS-F CL member who was probably the first person to try out these rear subframe braces. My set came in the mail yesterday and I'm hoping to have them installed and tested out this weekend!

If anyone is interested in a carbon fiber driveshaft, there's one for sale on the CL member classified section.

^The one listed is for an IS-F though. The IS-F had a shorter length than our IS350s.

I ended up having some free time tonight so I decided to jack up the car and install the new Rear Subframe Suspension Braces:

1) So shiny and pretty

2) Here's the beefier subframe brace installed on the vehicle. The OEM brace feels thinner and flimsier than this new set. You can also see the Titan Motorsports Rear Differential Solid Ear Mount to the right.

3) While underneath the car, I noticed that my F-Sport Chassis Brace has some scrapes and possible rust on it. What's an easy remedy to fix this? Simply prime and paint the damaged areas?

I would just go ahead and sell me that one and buy a new one
