Blue Flame Revival
Hello CL,
My name is Clint and maybe most of you know that KingPhilip had sold his Blue Flame. Well it just so happens that he sold her to me.
I bought KingPhilip's 1995 SC400 Midnight Indigo Pearl aka Blue Flame on September 9, 2014. I have always been a Supra guy (currently owns a 94` TT 6spd) and I had just lost my 08` WRX two weeks prior to the great flood of the I10 in AZ . I originally wanted to buy a truck until I was browsing Craigslist and came across Kingphilips add, and the first time I saw the SC on Craigslist, I fell in love.
I was very hesitant to contact KingPhilip because I was so wary about driving from AZ to Cali to buy a car as I had never done it before plus I wasn't sure I could get his asking price...
As soon as I got the "OK" from my insurance company that my WRX was a total loss and was going to be paid off, I pulled the trigger and Contacted KingPhilip. We texted back and forth and then talked on the phone, he was very upfront and honest about the car, we then finalized the terms and negotiated a price. The next day I was on the road to SD, the transaction was very smooth and he even gave me an extra set of Supra TT wheels and tires (SCORE)!
The drive home was great and uneventful, not one issue everything seemed to work aside from what currently wasn't working correctly, and the AC blew cold and cruise worked with out a hiccup.
So far I am very satisfied with my decision and choice and I hope to hold on to the SC for a wile and tinker with it as this is also my first V8 engine as well.

Here are some progress pictures:
I got her home and parked her next to his new room mate, my 94` Supra, unfortunately I didn't have much time with the SC as I was two days away from going to SIV 14 this year so I had to make sure the Supra was ready to make the trip to and from Vegas.
Before I left I ordered some parts and found some to add
I scored a font bumper with a front lip for $125 delivered
Before
After
I also took care of the B-pillar's that where starting to show there crome
And I scored some JDM Bubble front turn signals
And I also went ahead and picked up a rear sun visor so it could match my Supra

Thanks! I am trying to resist "modding" this car as I have my Supra and that gets most of my attention, but so far I am content. I am just trying to fix a few issues like the locking mechanism so I can get the locks to work again and I also have a SC300 parts car that I will be trading the seats out of since they seem to be in better condition. I have already swapped a few parts to make the 400 more complete and clean.

Well tonight I replaced the door actuator, and let me tell you guys, it was a PITA! But now my passenger door locks and unlocks once again and my keyless even works now! I am so happy that this works. now my next task will be to replace the break booster as I am pretty sure it's losing vacuum

Nice pick up, looking forward to seeing you resist modding it lol. Good start to resisting by creating a build thread lol great start so far, did you have the pillars painted? They look awesome.

Well what can I say, I am an addict lol. The pillars I used this material, http://www.ebay.com/itm/390599484115?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITBeing skeptical and it being cheap and having nothing to lose I said what the hell and to my surprise it works very well and they are pre-cut to fit the pillars. I thought it was a better method then having to strip the old paint off and painting again.

I figured it would be good idea, plus it can always be removed and painted if I ever decide to have the car resprayed to sharpen up the factory paint.

Here is a picture of my Supra,
Picture of my Supra
It's a 1994 Twin Turbo 6spd, Mods are intake, HKS dragger exhaust, Greddy 3 row Intercooler, Pro-efi 128 ECU+I-boost, and color display, she made 387rwhp @ 17psi. I am planning on building a short block with 10:1 compression and I also have a Greddy T88 with a GT4202 wheel waiting to be installed, and I'll be shooting for 700-800rwhp.
