Default 2000 GS300 Mild Build

Sitting at work slightly bored so I decided to start a thread.

Car: GS300
Year: 2000
Color: Black
Interior: Black
Wheels: Chrome 16's

No pictures yet.

Current Plans:
- Upgrade/update Interior
- Upgrade/update Exterior
- New Paint (All Black Everything)
- Bigger Brakes
- Bigger OEM Wheels
- Possible 2jzGTE swap or 2jzGE-T

Hopeful Results:
A clean VIP inspired/Updated/Modern Look by the years end. (This didn't happen)
300-350hp by the end of next year? (This didn't happen)

**New Goals** as of 01-10-15
Since I am in school full time most of all my money and time will be going in to that, should be finished and graduated by the end of summer. Hopefully by then I will have done the Supra TT brake Swap, will have my new wheels and tires on the car, the car will be lowered, and get some bump in the car with a new deck. Basically focusing on the interior after putting on everything i have for the car now.

Here's my GS shot with iPhone 5 while rounding up my BMW parts to sell.

As it sits:
- 35% Legal tint all around (replaced old and peeling tint from previous owner) done at Musicar.
- Slight driver side bumper damage and broken turn signal lens (light still functions) from previous owner. Something I will ignore until I repaint the whole car and decide whether or not I want a lip kit.
- Stock ride height with chrome 16's
- 1 functioning hood support (New supports ordered)
- 1 functioning License plate light
- Inner Tails are faded.

Decided I should hoard parts so when I do something to the car I can knock it all out at the same time.

Parts ordered:
- Moog Lower Ball Joints
- LED License Plate Lights
- Black and Silver Gauge Bezel
- Hood supports

Interior Parts waiting to pull the trigger on.
- Alpine Double Din
- Alpine or JL Audio Components
- Alpine or Phoenix Gold or JL Audio Subs
- Compustar Alarm

Sold my BMW e30 5 Lug Swap today so I ordered a few items:

-Supra TT Calipers (***** to find)
-18 Inch G35 Wheels (didnt order but I did pick these up, pics later)

Currently looking for G35 19" rays, late model tails with both inners and outers with harness and thinking about debadging the car because the previous owner did a super sloppy job waxing and theres a ton of residue.

Default Update!

Been a long time since I have done an update so here are the parts I managed to round up in 2014. Things got really busy with school as well as tight on the cash flow.

But as previously stated, I ordered re-manufactured Supra TT calipers and picked up a set of G35 18's.

Rubber for the rears, they are Nitto Motivos I think, 245/40/18.

New hood shocks (installed), stainless brake lines, and new turn signals left and right (if anyone needs a used passenger turn signal, pm me).

Lastly I purchased hub rings for the wheels, LED license plate lights, and lower ball joints. All sitting on top of my calipers.

Just picked up some rubber for the fronts the other night, 225/45/18 Michelin Pilot Sport ZP's.

All I need now are springs and shocks or coils, I just want a little tire tuck. I think I am going to need to replace some more suspension parts upfront, there is a clunking sound when I hit a bump, I don't know if I need caster bushing or if it is the steering rack bushings. Anyone have a suggestion?

Whoo TINY update. Hit the pick and pull with my cousins for parts for his Nissan hardbody and found a black GS300 among the yard. Pulled the inner tail lights and harnesses as well as the trunk garnish thing for a special project.

Super bright LED License plate lights.

No more faded inners...

... could use newer outers but I am happy that its no longer faded.

As for the extra garnish I picked up I am going to delete the key hole and make some room for a backup camera, most likely.

Default LED Interior Part 1

This is only a part 1 because I only received some bulbs in the mail over the weekend, specifically the 194 and T11 replacements and got bored and put them on.

I used the Led replacement info to order my bulbs from ebay for around 30 bucks.

194/T10 SMD LEDs x10 (Five 5050 LEDs per bulb)

T11 SMD LEDs x2 (Five 5050 LEDs per bulb)

Difference between new and old.

Both installed

Been busy with school but stock brakes are starting to make noises so I figure I should get going on putting on the Supra TT brakes and new rotors. Wanted to paint the calipers but can't decide on a color.

What do you think? Black or Yellow? Black will have white "supra" decal on the front and probably nothing or a lexus "L" on the rear. Yellow will have the same decals but in black.

Probably going to order the paint in about a week or so. Going with the G2 paint system and a Clear to go over the decal.

Here is a little update, slapped my wheels on during my last (2nd) oil change as well as changed out the air filter (should have done when I bought the car a year ago). Soon after got CEL codes for P0171: System Too Lean, which actually replaced the P0420 code that was popping up every now and then. BUT I think I have found the problem, cracked/split PCV breather hose. Ordered new pcv valves and probably not going to go OEM with the breather hose because it isn't cost effective.

Here are come pictures with G35 18's with stock suspension:

Needs more low. I have some KYB's on the way, which in hindsight I should have just went with some Megan EZ's. ANYONE WANT TO BUY A SET OF KYB's??

Default The time finally came.

Been a minute since the last update. Just finished school with with a second degree in Computer Science. Got stressed out and threw everything I had on the car.

Laid out fast and furious style (except a lot less parts):

Took about a week for me to do including the alignment, had to pay a shop to do the outer tierods because they were rusted on.

New Parts:
- Supra calipers and slotted rotors
- Slotted rotors for the rear
- stainless steel brake lines
- Kyb shocks
- Tanabe DF210 springs
- Caster arm bushings
- moog lower ball joint
- moog outer tie rods
- new front and rear away at bushings
- new lower control arm bushings
- 19" Rays G35 wheels
- Nankang 235/35/19 front
- hancook 245/35/19 rear

Results:
