Installed Kenwood HD571 and get static on 2003 SC430
I had Best Buy install a new HD radio to my 2003 SC430 and get nothing but static. He replaced the radio 3 times, added an atenna bosster and its still the same. Now he is telling me the reason I am getting static is because I have one of the tire sensors out and that is causing interference with the radio signal as the tire sensors run on radio signals.
I really dont want to replace the sensor as I'm unemplyed and don't have $180 that Lexus wants to replace it. Could this be true? The satilite works great. AM/FM fades in and out or static. He told me whne he installed the radio and he holds the antenna booster about 2 feet away from the car the reception is great. So maybe its the antenna booster? Is there a model anybody knows that is inexpensive?
