We went back to the dyno to finish the tune yesterday and we LOST power since the last visit when the car was shutting off but I'm pretty sure we know why. There is an exhaust leak under the hot side of the turbo and it has to come off and be re mounted.
As a result, we left it at 20psi and made just 500hp. Incidentally, a 500hp car is still pretty darned awesome I might add. Never the less, I can't wait to fix the leak and turn up the boost!
I also got all of ALISC3's "FFIM ON THE CHEAPISH" ingredients so that will be going down at the same time.....

Also... I purchased a hanger for my dual Walbro E85-450's so those will be installed along with an E85 filter and flex-fuel sensor.
We installed a Weldon FPR already. I also have two AEM serial gauges to find somewhere to mount. My pillar is full now after adding the fuel pressure gauge.

Once you get started..........

So, I think i am ready for ALISC3's FFIMOD. I have all of the parts I believe. This stuff as well as an SC400 IACV and flange (not in pic) are ready to take to the welder who has spare lower runners for me.

I can't wait!

She is ready to be shipped back from Kentucky.

Just a few steps to go..... I got all of the gaskets and such you suggested in the other thread.

I had to take a spending break for a bit!
That break is over......
The car has been with Ace mechanic Adrian in Queens for almost a week. The front facing intake is in the car finally, a remote power steering reservoir, a 3 port Mishimoto catch can, fittings and lines are on the way and will arrive today. My short shifter is in the car and V160 shift **** for it will arrive tomorrow. The exhaust leak under the hot side of the turbo has been repaired. My GTE valve covers have had the larger -AN fittings added and are going on the car today. The new Clutchmasters FX400 clutch and pressure plate is in the car. The worst part of this is that the power will be restored just in time to break in the new clutch. I won't be able to drive it hard at all for 500 miles (city only). The car should not go into boost during this time. This is going to be torture. I wish I could pay someone to break it in for 3 straight days around NYC for me.

pics when I get it back later in the week.

Awesome work! That clutch break-in is the worst. When I did mine, I just took it for a cruise all around places that I normally wouldn't go so that it at least made it interesting lol

I'll be doing the same. Last time, I was volunteering to drive my Wife to work in midtown NYC. Weird stuff I'd normally hate.

One of the best things I ever did was break in the clutch while still NA. Sounds like you need a back roads trip upstate to get some bulk miles.

Thumbs up

Finally, the ALISC3 FFIM, GTE covers and catch can is in and a day from finished.. It looks better, but it has uncovered LOADS of stuff I am going to have to tuck. It never ends! I also had a short shifter installed, a new clutch masters clutch and several other things!

Thanks KP!

The RMR throttle body has been recalled. The new bearing they use, sticks when it gets hot. It's pretty dangerous. If you used the RMR, call and make sure you don't have the bad bearing everyone!

This RMR works great.

Make sure you don't have the faulty bearing if you use an RMR!
