Hello everyone,
its been a while while since I last updated this thread. My car is not at the shop just yet. All of my efforts are into buying a house with some land, as well as a separate garage so I can dedicate all of the time I get for to working on it. As my family grows, we are soon getting pretty cramped in our 3 bed 2 bath townhome. So until I get the home, which I expect to be by February or March 2017. We are saving to get our down payment straight. In the mean time I am working with cardboard to design some aerodynamic parts to bring extra downforce to the cars stock body. Aside from the serial none parts, I decided to keep it mostly stock with a front bumper with a replica TTE lip. I will then design a splitter, canards. In the rear I will design a diffuser to go with the stock rear bumper. The design of the diffuser will help me decide if I go with quad exhaust in the rear or side outlets. I have talked to the shop and will go fuel cell, drysump, not sure on methanol yet, but I will see what else I add.
I am also getting ideas, asking companies like Lyfe Motorsports for ideas on how to cut weight for making the car lighter.
I expect all of this to help me bring my work to the shop so they can put it together for me once the car gets to them. I know I'll be better with my own space instead of being cramped like I am now, it's a pain to setup my workspace and then tear it done. With my own garage I can work, stop and pick up right where I left off.
My updates won't be as awesome for now.
I will be leaving through some of your build though.
Alright, I'll try to share as often as I can.
Take care CL family

I made a visit to the shop and they always have something nice that they are working on. Some of the rides that they have worked on, and still stop by the shop for more work.
I like this fuel addition to the fuel cell, might consider moving my things over for weight distribution.
This 89 Saleen Mustang is being built to FIA spec to compete in the King of Europe drift series - Girl driven, sounds very nice with the blower it already has.
---
Back to my boring card board mock ups. More progress, I am getting the shape, then I will trim peices down. I have also been in converstations with my shop to get their input as well as figure out what I can change in my design. Once I get the front splitter and cannards designed how I want, then I will move to the rear for the diffuser and wing.

I am with you there, I have thought of getting the splitter part of it and adding it to the stock bumper saving me from turning my cardboard cut out to a plywood version and maybe a fiberglass or carbon fiber one down the road. Still working on the cardboard ones to see how I like them.
i like that a lot but $1350.00 plus shipping sucks

Its been a while since I posted something car related. I posted that I had finally purchased a home after months and months of searching, headache, putting offers in, getting close to buying one and then it falling apart and now finally buying a home that we are pretty happy with. Then came the projects right after purchasing the home. From turning a closet to a mudroom. Then after that fencing the backyard. Road trip to visit family in Dallas Tx.To getting a new pupp but not before my son fractured his tibia and fibula.
So after almost a year of putting sponsors off from me buying their parts I finally am back throwing money at this thing again. The car is scheduled for November 2017 what I have been calling Phase Two of this build. Car was moved from our old townhome to its new home, and its now just waiting for November.

Thanks man, I checked out your IS build, very nice build. I love that you are building a wagon IS too. You will have a cool set of cars when done.
