my first crazy gs300 build
Hi my name is Dre from Maryland.
i have had many cars in the past including 94 rx7 and a evolution 9, but this is my first Lexus. i have been a member for almost 9 months, so now i figure would be a good time to post. lol. the car is a 1999 lexus gs300 black with tan leather interior. it was completely stock when i bought it. Now the drive train has been extensively modified. First with the outside, gs430 rims lowered on megan easy street coil overs. upgraded led tail lights, and supra big brake kit. the engine has a precision 6266 billet wheel turbo, brian crower vvti 264 cams, 2jz gte rods and pistons, acl main and rod bearings, 660 cc injectors, cometic stock supra headgasket, power house racing light weight pulleys, supra aluminum radiator, external trans cooler, aeromotive stealth 340 in tank pump with regulator, titan motorsports exhaust cam gear, gates timing belt. the trans is an house rebuild at Peter Farrell Supercars done by Ray Wilson with oversized 2nd gear sprag, valve body, and aluminum accumulators pistons, the rear has a supra auto torsen diff. so far the car has made 440whp on 14lbs with stock ecu and maf skewer. still awaiting a piggy back to fully tune the car to full potential

I wouldn't expect a response. Pretty old thread. But he had a pretty cool thing going there. Wonder how it turned out. My suggestion is regular maintenance first, then modifications. Do you know how to do a proper steering /suspension check? Inspect for leaks. Check trans fluid, plugs/ wires, throttle, etc.?
Word of advice. If you see yourself wanting big power, don't mess around with any intake/ exhaust mods etc. Just save for a turbo kit and do research in the mean time. You won't be able to use any of the little N/A goodies if you go that route. Just time and money wasted. These cars can be fun to lower and VIP out with rims and a dark tint/ body mods. A proper turbo setup will be in the $8,000-10,000 range. So you might go after coilovers, rims, handling goodies etc. while you think about it.

Woah! I didn't actually think I'd get a reply and that too so quickly!
I really appreciate your time man, God Bless. I just got the car last week, its been sitting in my garage since. I have some experience with cars, I K swapped a DC2 Integra over the winter and sold it. That being said I am only 17 and am completely new to the Toyota world. The only reason I could work on the Integra is that my cousins are Honda Mechanics. Can you give me a full list of everything I should check for when I take it to the shop?
Thanks in advance brother!

Hey guys, I m suprised to see someone respond to my thread. Lol. Actually I had sold the car in 2017, but recently bought the vehicle back earlier this year. I plan on gutting the car to repaint and possibly do a cd009 swap. Currently the car makes 460 on 16 psi. With the help of an arm 1050box.

Hell ya, thats a good looking car and build . I blew my NA-T built engine and have been going back together as time permits. Almost there now. Shooting for 700-800whp with forged internals this time around.
