The spacing on the brackets are the same though. Look at the two holes that are closer together. They are at the bottom. That's how your bracket goes in. If you do it that way, the highest hole will be on the spindle like LRD told you. You are going to have to trim that bracket to look similar to the one I posted.

Gotcha. I misunderstood what he was saying. I probably won't have time to mess with it tomorrow so Monday night I'll take a look at it.

Bracket should be installed like this, on the inside of the spindle mount (engine side).

Did it look like the bottom ear would be above the ball joint when the bracket is installed? I can't tell from the angle. If so, shave the bracket and you should be good. I really hope it clears because you and I both don't want to run RCAs. I really appreciate you looking into this. I was eventually going to look into it, but my living situation currently prevents from doing so.

If it clears it will be really close. Even if it does I'm not sure how much room that leaves for the caliper to fit. I'm going to try a cardboard copy before cutting into these. If that looks decent I might have some made based on the ones I got from lrd. If this doesn't work I'll have to go with Supra tt brakes.

After the bracket is installed, if you can get a bolt through the caliper ear hole, you should be good. The mounting point on the caliper is the lowest point. That's why I was saying if the ear is above the ball joint, you should be good. The caliper has to mount on the outside (fender side) of the bracket because the bracket isn't threaded and the caliper is. So the caliper shouldn't hit the ball joint because it's on the inside of the bracket. You just have to make the the bolt can get through the hole (coming from the inside) without hitting the ball joint.

I just made a copy of my bracket made of foam board and checked the fit. This bracket is not going to fit unless you trim it like I showed above and use a big RCA. A 30 mm may work but the 40mm RCA would probably be preferable so the caliper will clear the castle nut. I can't say for sure if it's a 30 or 40 because I don't have a caliper on hand. The 2gs spindle and steering linkage does not leave a lot of room for caliper brackets.

Yea I see that. I don't want to run rca's so I'm more than likely going to get a set of supra tt brakes for the front with some good pads and rotors.

Been swamped with work and finishing up my Acura but now that its done I can get back to my build. I should have front and rear strut bars, and some visors here in the next few days so hopefully I can get those put on this weekend. Im also contemplating boosting my ge with the aem stand alone until the new year.

I was at my buddy's machine shop and stumbled upon this sitting in a corner.... Not sure if I like it but I've never seen one like this before. Feel free to chime in if your know where it's from or who makes it.

Looks like a carbon version of the 3 piece explosion wing, minus the two outside pieces.
