132MPH is blazing.

According to this calculator: http://www.wallaceracing.com/etcalc.php

You should be running 10.04 ET.

Your MPH would probably be higher if not for the top end traction problems.

I have to say, after seeing these vids and your e.t.'s, I have a new respect for the 1UZ. And racing at 3800lbs and low 12's is pretty impressive. Any incar vids by chance?
Thanks Turbodrem,
No in car video. Need to get a go pro I guess.

Yeah KC the car should run a lot quicker then she is doing right now. Still learning.
Right now, an 11 would make me happy. I'm still running the stock driveshaft, and I guess in afraid of that being the next thing to go.
The 1uz is capable of good hp numbers.
According to Great Lakes dragaway's HP calculator the car is making 670-680 at the back tires.

I used 3800 lbs as weight with driver. I haven't weighed my car, but I assume it's at least what stock is. I did take the AC off, but I think I've added weight with the turbos.

Please don't get me wrong, I am not dissing you ET. I am thoroughly impressed by your MPH. You just need to figure things out to get that "ideal" ET. Maybe go over to supraforums and see how they setup the faster cars over there.

680hp is awesome and about 250 more than I have ever been able to estimate my car.

Most I have ever trapped is 115mph.

Once I get the new setup dialed in I will head to the track but I doubt I will get to 132mph. Not with my rods anyway, LOL.

I agree with you completely KC. I need to make a few changes to the car, and there might be a few adjustments the driver needs.
I have a pretty good buddy who was a runner at sound performance. He helped build Marco's supra. He ran an 8.60 and 186 mph.
He also helped build Chris treadmills SC300 which ran 9.45 @ 142 I think.
Anyway he has been telling me the suspension I have is not right for drag racing, and to change it.
So that the first thing I think I need to do. Then some more practice.

I enjoy the support, and the friendly competition.
My car previously was running mid 13's and very consistently 115mph.
I kept running into problems. 1 was the transmission. I cent chasing problems. I had Raybestos blue plates, and koleen steal (think that's how it's spelled) after I got the trans to hold the power it started doing weird thing electrically and shifting inconsistently. I ended up getting a good deal on a getrag and switch to a manual.

I blew a head gasket, and decided to build the motor. When I took it apart, I had twisted a rod. It was just a little. I actually didn't notice it at first, and tried to put the rod back in with a new piston.
The bushing on the small end turned. When it turned it blocked the oil passage to the piston pin.
The small end not being oiled caused the small end to grab the pin, and it twisted it.
Just something for you to look out for.

I'm up near Chicago, where are you?

I'm in Charlotte, NC.

Might try and run 1/8 mile Thursday. Weather will be a little cooler than it has been.

Been meaning to ask, you using the stock ignition system?

I took my TT SC400 back to the track last Friday (8-15-14)
I put the Supra shocks n struts on the car, along with the MT ET Drags.
The car ran an 11.78@129 MPH with a 1.88 60 Foot.
My clutch is pretty aggressive, so It's difficult to slip the clutch to stay in the power band. The motor bogs pretty hard once the clutch grabs.
According to www.DragTimes.com that makes this the quickest, and Fastest SC400
Well as least as a street car I'm guessing.

Thanks myLEXsc400. It's an aggressive clutch. Think I need to just continue to practice, and it should come along. I hope.

Thanks OldManTan.
I do need more practice. I'm sure there is a bit of improvment in the driver.
Everytime I take her to the track we seem to find something, and she goes down the 1/4 a little bit quicker.

As far as drifting, It was pretty easy with the lowering springs I had on the car before. It was a lot of fun for the low speed stuff like donuts, but I don't know about that 40+ mph stuff.
it scares the poop right out of me. LOL

Here is a picture of the car with the old lowering springs.
