IDK man, to me a car with only 30k miles on it is still "new" in my book. Hell, did it not still have the new car smell? LOL!

Anyhow, here's a logical comeback. You shouldn't purchase the first model year of any new vehicle line. Boom!

That is a good argument I havent thought of yet lol... I'll try it. I'll def check out Cobb tuning for it but I've actually been looking at the Hennessey hpe650 upgrade package... Its expensive but bang for your buck I dont think I'll find much better. 650hp at 6500rpm plus its a hennessey lol they even have 1000+ HP packages for it but thats getting a Lil crazy I think lol I'm gonna go to my pops house over the weekend and talk to him about it so let's see what happens... Ill keep u posted.

Don't wait too long! Summer is coming; there's gotta be someone else out there looking for a low mileage GTR!

I put a 5k refundable deposit on it the other day so they can't sell it and if I change my mind I get the deposit back... Here are a couple depressing pics to show progress on the lex... Hurts my soul to see her like this...

don't worry, that's an easy fix. I've had much more work done to some of my cars. It'll be fixed in no time.

As long as the subframe was not compromised you should be good... besides it actually looks to be in relatively good shape from other things I've seen

Good idea on the deposit! Glad they'll give it back cuz some places say they'll just end up keeping the deposit no matter!

Yeah, it's not so bad. Just make sure they take their time with the panel gaps where the fender meets the door/hood.

From what I can tell that was nowhere near being claimed a total loss.

This is what I call a total loss, but i was involved in an accident on the highway where everyone was going 70+. I was hit in the rear and pushed into the front, and insurance still had a hard time totaling the car even though it was a 2008 and it happened in October 2014.

Wow rough accident... Sorry to see that happened to you... Really what it all hinged on was the suspension damage and subframe damage... Yeah the body panels and grills etc are expensive and the led headlights are crazy expensive but it really all hinged on how bad the suspension was ****ed up and it wasn't bad at all and there was no subframe damage but my body guy was telling me he wouldn't know the full extent of the damage till he got the car apart and checked out the insides basically but if its ****ed up under there they would total it... Turns out it didn't come to that bc it wasn't as bad as originally thought... Yeah gville after my pops drove the gtr it wasnt hard to at least get a deposit put down to hold it as an serious option... And As for the body guy... He is good.. He has been fixing all the cars in my family for 25 yrs or more now and he really goes the extra mile to make sure everything is right with the paint and body gaps... I was up there t his morn dropping off some parts I had laying around I wanted him to throw in for me to save some money from the insurance like the lower grill was cracked and I had an fsport one laying around that I never installed and since insurance payed to get a new one and I had the fsport he doesn't hafta order it and I get to recoop some loot to put towards the deductible... What really upset me was I found out that somehow the accident had cracked my carbon radiator cover... So ill need to get a new one... He then gave me an estimate return date of getting it back late next week "hopefully"... So I'll figure out what car to buy this weekend and I'll have the lex back in a week or so...

At least the color isn't the white pearl paint, because that's a nightmare to match. Your silver-ish paint is actually easily matched, even with custom blending to add in sun fading.

Really? I didnt think the white pearl was that hard to match...? My body guy said that the nebula gray isnt that easy to replicateand get perfect but he can def do it... I guess we will find out next week when the car gets done... I'll post pics of the paint gaps and the new wheels... I had 2 hockey games this weekend so I didnt get the chance to go talk to pops but I will either Monday or wed about the new car... So I'll let u know what's up n keep u posted...

^Yeah, it's a tri-coat and one of the more difficult to get done right. Yours is a metallic, so its more "forgiving".

Keep us updated!

Should have the car back at the end of this week hopefully... A month without a car is hell lol especially when I hafta practically beg my pops to borrow one of his... Anyway gville or anyone have any idea where I can get an isf steering ecu for the 250 that will fit? I know I already checked all the classifieds and everything... Lmk if u know of anyone selling one... And just to update that rc I was looking at got sold so its kinda even more firepower to use to get the gtr... My pops brought it up to me today without me pushing him into a convo about it so that seems to be a good thing... He said we can take a ride down there again next week after my championship hockey game and we can take another look at it... Which in his terms means if we take the trip down n we both agree we really like it I'll be driving it home lol so keep ur fingers crossed for me guys lol
