those motor mounts were pretty bad. now the engine can idle without bouncing around

Are engine mounts an issue on our cars and are they easy to change? I have to do my timing belt soon. While I'm in that area I'd like to change the mounts.

I love the sound of your exhaust dude. Perfect!

Edit.....I just looked into the engine mounts. Going to be a job over summer I think. May even pay my buddy for some ramp time.

RichS11 I didn't replace it myself, so I can't tell you if it is hard or not. My mechanic did it in about 3 hours.

My engine mounts looked quite good on car, but you can see the "real" condition now..not so good.

all three mounts are doable you just have to lift the engine up high enough to get the engine mounts out. the tranny mount you can do in your garage. there's a DIY floating around .

Thanks dude. I looked at the DIY right after my post. I'm compiling a list of things I'd like to do over the next 6 months and this is on it now thanks to this thread.

Got to love this place!

In last few months I did below things:

- I made my rear windows darker
- bought new tires (Nokian zLine 235/40/R18 front and 245/40/R18 - rear)

I'm planning to buy fake "shark antenna" because I have old insulating tape (or something similar) on the roof and I can't remove it since almost 2 years. (you can see this on 1st and 4th picture)

I was in Croatia, I made about 2400 km (1500 miles). Average fuel consumption was about 12,5 litres (24 MPG) so quite good I think.

Below few pictures:
