here is a pic of what i was trying to explain. as you can see removing the painters tape cause the plastidip part to lift up as well.



ima try removing the tape right after spray to prevent it, but run the risk of not having clean lines.

any have any ideas?

actually thats the right thing to do when it comes to plasti dip.

after you spray let it sit for a few min maybe 5 at the most. that way it can dry a little bit so you can pull the tape up while it still wet and not having it bleed.

You can also CAREFULLY cut with a razor to outline the line you're trying to achieve too. Not too deep though, or you'll hit the real paint of the lip lol..

GL! I plastidipped the two outer rims of my tank because I was too lazy and that's what I did lol

lol nah yet. i got projects and finals for school. its just been sitting with half the plastidip still on haha

i did that for a section, but it left an indentation on the silver part that bugged me alot for some reason. so i said eff this and decided to respray lol.

since my GS is a hybrid, it has a battery pack like the prius. one of the cells in that pack died causing the message. dealer says to replace the whole pack. ~6k including parts and labor.

up til 100k miles.. im at 109k. i havent tried to take it in yet, so maybe they will cover it. its still sitting in the street until i have some free time to deal with it lol

the error randomly stopped showing up. i drove it yesterday to work and stuff and it never popped back up. hopefully its gone for good lol
