Default Reviving My 94 LS400. Motor , Ecm , Ect. Swap.

I'm pulling my oem 1uz with 36x,xxx miles! and replacing it with an JDM 1uz with low miles . when I bought the car it was not in running condition and was told that the ecm , starter and some wire near the pulley system were to blame. Seeing as the motor is "high mileage" I just bought a new, but slightly different motor with "very low mileage". I have unbolted \ unplugged most things connecting from the frame to the motor so that I can pull it out ASAP. ECM is out and I have opened it to see that there is one "bad " cap , replacing them ALL ASAP. ordering low ESR caps from user LScowboy's very helpful post. For now I'm focusing on the motor swap.

Considering the replacement motor is from Japan I know I have to switch over a lot of sensors\wires, intake manifold but do anyone of you know of any other problems I may face ? I will keep this tread updated as I go .. im riding a bike to work until this car is up to par so all the tips and help I can get will be greatly appreciated !
THANKS

When you are on the page where you are typing for your post just scroll down. You will see where it says to add pictures. Very simple and easy to use. Good luck with your swap! Any upgrades planned for the car?

Default starting to pull the motor

Had to push the car in to the tiny garage , I'll make do with the room. I've unplugged /unbolted everything (I think ) that leads to the motor from the frame of the car ... so im about to unbolt the drive shaft ,tanny mounts so that I can pull them together.

Default drive shaft

I unbolted three bolts from the drive shaft and transmission
looked like that was all it needed ... next I still need to remove the belt and clutch fan (not sure how to get the fan off... researching) , idk if I need to but seems like a good idea for clearance.

I'm pretty broke right now but very determined , eventually I will slamming her , wheels , kits , ect. but for now I'm focusing on the essentials such as
1) repairing ECM
2) figuring out the differences in the USDM 1uz and the JDM 1uz and adjusting as necessary.
3)Buy a MAF sensor and housing (mines seems to be miss placed for now)
4)new rotors
5)new break pads
6) new calipers (the car has been sitting around for a long long time 8 years around, just thinking this is a good idea)
I will be posting plenty of subprojects other then these listed, but this is what is of the upmost importance to me for now.

Ello fellow Georgian!
As far as calipers go, since your replacing them anyways maybe an upgrade?
I think there is an upgrade thread BUT i am not sure..
Best place i found to get calipers is Advanced Auto Parts with the $40 off $100 and if your lucky $50 off $100.
Just make sure to get the lifetime warranty ones..
For brakes and pads, i know this sounds cheap but i use the eBay packages. Drilled and slotted ones are cheap but make noise when braking.

Question in need of opinions/ experience!

Ive ran in to some pretty dramatic Differences in my intake setups...pictured is my original fuel rail, jdm fuel rail,& jdm intake. It seems that the jdm set-up has fuel being fed DIRECTLY into the intake So what im wondering and in need of other opinions , should i run my original fuel rail, delete the pipe and hose that is feeding the fuel into the intake ,and cap off the the bottom of the jdm intake? Or is this something i should try to incorporate in my car?

I wish more than anything that i could just bolt it up and call it a day but i don't have the plug for the sensor so I'm afraid of what that would do.....will it spray fuel uncontrollably into the intake ?will it do nothing?will it improve fuel economy? I just don't know.

if you swap over the USDM intake mani, you will not have to plug up anything. am i missing something? you should simply be using the JDM long block assembly only and not all the JDM intake mani and sensors, etc.
