It lives pictures
I have a little bit more to go but It starts and has 80psi oil pressure. Those are LS2 coils. and I forgot to cover the block and rain poured through the vented hood and caused some rusting of the cam gears.

Today I got the 2jz down pipe mated to the 7m down pipe to the cat. I got a bad ignition coil wire on coil 6 and will try to get it sorted out to get a smooth idle. Then its off to get the FFI intake and the throttle intake from the IC to the FFI fabbed, and the FFI cut and re welded since it hits the hood a little bit.
I also need to get the power steering sorted out. It is on the right side and must be relocated to the left side. I may order a cooler and make it easier. I also need to get the oil cooler mounted with brackets and remove. the zip ties holding it in place..
Last but not least I also must move the relocated oil adapter over on the left fender so that the FFI lower intake pipe does not hit the oil filter.
The power steering is sporadic and makes noise I guess it must be bled.
I also made a temporary bracket for the coils to sit somewhat the way it did in the 7M before I made the coil on plug set up.

Time to clean it up
Today I mounted the coils and only need to bolt them to the head until I get coil on plugs from a 1ZZ. It is time to clean up the engine bay and tidy things up. I finally got it running smoothly, but need to get the FFI re situated.to clear the hood.. I need to get intercooler pipes down and I still must get the relocated oil filter mount, and power steering re situated as well.

Today was a good day I finally got the chance to re situate the relocated oil filters on the front frame so that they won't interfere with the IC pipes.
Now I still Have to get the FFI and the IC pipes completed

I got the intake pipe from the IC to the FFI configured, and the FFI sort of together. I just need to fab the lower turbo to the IC pipe. I also need to get that FFI cleaned up, and possibly redone to look nice as well as functional.
I also must get that power steering reservoir relocated.
It's running perfectly at the moment.

radiator
Today I installed a new 3 row aluminum radiator. Now I have good cooling, and bling appeal going on. I now have to make top brackets to hold it in place. I use Ford contour Fans to keep things cool controlled by the ECU to come on at 86C, and to go off at 82C. The last picture is the before picture.

video
I made a harness for 1zz fe coils, and made an error and ordered 2zz ge coils 90919-02238 when it should have been 90919-02239. The 2ZZ ge coils will work but they are about an inch taller. The 2zz ge coils are used in Lotus Elise, Exige, and Evora so they should work fine if I like how they sit. I did a short video of the car running on my cell phone can anyone tell me how to upload videos?

New coil wires
I have a set of 2zz ge coils 90919-02238 and will see how they work. I ordered these thinking that they were the 90919-02239 1zz fe coils. Since they are a little taller the 2zz ge coils may not sit into the head butt they will work I guess. I will test them to see how they look and drive. They use the 2zz ge coils in Lotus so they can't be that bad now can they!

coming along nicely, hopefully the 2zz coils wont be too tall but they should spark well.
did you have to shorten the lower runner because of hood clearance? I like the plenum on top using the upper runners like you have done but seems like alot of fabrication just wondering if that part is needed.

I think I am going to make one of these except I won't do the angle in the back.
how did you make the cut if you don't mind me asking. I don't have a band saw think I can draw out the lines and cut the upper with a grinder and sand it smooth/flat?
I guess I could drive down to the machine shop and get a perfect cut, if you think that is much better I may do that.
