Smile 0 to 60 mph times!

Hi Ya`ll ,

I just got 2014 IS 350 RWD few days ago! and i doubted the car & driver / motor trend 0 to 60 times .
So i did a few runs myself . Note im a previous owner of 330 bmw e46 and has currently bmw e85 2.5i with few mods( headers ,Cad and an turner chip) the reason im mentioning those cars ,cause the 350 feels in a whole different realm of speed .
In the 330i was getting a 5.6/7 0 to 60mph. so
Today i have gotten 4.908sec and 5.079sec ( on qurter of a tank of gas on sport mode w/auto shifting ) .

What is your best time ?

Best

(Mods: This thread should go in the Performance sub-forum)

That's quick! If you have a video, always great as there will be skeptics.

I recently did one run on my 250 AWD, with about 2 gallons remaining, slightly uphill though, 0-60 at 7.5s. Not the best run but not a snail's pace either.

Good job, man! I am happy to see someone achieving fast numbers than those journals did. Not being a skeptic. But still I would like to know what did you use to time it, as well as conditions like fuel type (octane #), temperature, and elevation.

I have used my phone stopwatch 4 times ,and every time in the same time ranges . As skeptical as I was I did the two other runs which have put me in the same range. Finger on the stopwatch has it's own time lost/gain and mine came to under 2/10 of a sec.
I have used 91 octane and temperature was 58f ,elevation ,i want to say 0 since i live near the sea in redondo beach, ca.
In every shot at 60MPH I stopped once I've passed 60mph and not when I reached it.
so I'm thinking I Can do a bit faster.
I tried the phone apps and they we're either way to fast Or extremely is 250 #s.

It sounds pretty good to me the way you did it. I will take mine to some local drag strips once the weather get warmer, that might be the best way to find out the real 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
