Was hoping you'd continue the build thread here. We've got similar goodies (see my own build thread). Looks like you've been enjoying the F quite a bit already. Enjoy the ride!

This is great stuff thank you for posting, especially like the Laguna Seca video. Are you monitoring transmission and coolant temp?
Wondering what temps you're seeing if you are.

What happened to the front of the car? Looks like the bumper was squished.

Those Supras are fast!

I had the splitter too tight, so it was squishing it up haha. Going to be redoing the front end next year.

Yeah the A90 Supras are quick. I have tracked and coached a few clients with them.

I am monitoring with my AIM SOLO2 DL for coolant temp. I am actually going to be switching my oil cooler setup soon. Currently on the RR Racing setup which is in front of the ac condenser and radiator, which is causing too much thermal stacking I think with the transmission cooler right next to it. I legit get maybe 3-4 laps before oil and water temp start to climb to much (5-6 bar oil and I see 225-230* water temp). I have a FIGS Engineering sidemount oil cooler to install soon and see if that drops temps to where I want.

Joe was nice enough to lend me this car for a lead/follow session with my students at Laguna after my battery exploded. Granted we were nowhere near full pace but this thing felt pretty dialed and made some fun noises

I get those same temps [6 bars). RR oil cooler but stock trans cooler. Vented hood too which lowered coolant temps 15-20 degrees from 230 to 210 in 95 degree ambient temps.

So this tells you your gearbox is running cooler simply because the gearbox oil runs through the lower tank of the radiator, and if it were running hot, you wouldn't have the running temp reductions you're seeing. That said, the oil is also cooled by the oil/coolant heat exchanger opposite the filter housing. It would seem intuitively you'd see lower oil temps if the coolant temps are down. It is really clear to me the engine doesn't get enough cooling for the oil regardless. The Figs setup with ducting outside the airflow of the transmission, A/C condenser, and coolant radiator would be the best proposition short of completely re-engineering the front of the car and putting the heat exchangers in a horizontal orientation with dedicated ducting. I've always wondered what could be done with the front fender slots to aid cooling - like mounting heat exchanger(s) on the sides or something to that effect. But I didn't win the Powerball tonight, so that project will remain just a curious thought.

Love the build sir!

Quick question please: do the APR canards make a difference?

I just saw FIGS is offering them so was wondering how functional they are. Thanks!
