Default My GS GTE VVTI Build

Hey, I'm not so new to CL but this is a newer car for me and this is my first attempt at starting a build thread. Any constructive comments are welcomed. If there is a better way of doing what I'm doing, let me know>

This is a 2000 GS300 (JZS160). I started with a simple security install (Viper w/remote start). Recently I've came across a JZS161 Front clip. Since the GS had some front end needs and the clip was clean, it made sense to get the clip. The clip came with the drive shaft and fuel pump, plus it had the AT/Manual shifter and steering wheel, Aristo Navi w/JBL speaker, TRAC/ABS comp. and the ECU doesn't have the immobilizer on the ECU. I've also got the Supra TT throttle cable

So far both motors are out and on the verge of getting the GTE installed, but the rear piece(the part that attaches to the differential) of the drive shaft wont come off. Its been on for 14 years, I get it, but it wont pop off. Its a little humiliating that I can't get it off, but it is what it is. Any suggestions???BTW I've tried prying and hitting it by the yoke. Yes, all bolts have been remove from the mount and the drive shaft.

Sounds like you got all the necessary parts. Be sure to unbolt the rear turbo inlet pipe and cut off that big hump on the back. It's gonna hit the firewall. You definitely wanna do this while it's out before dropping in the new motor. you'll need to modify the heater core/hose as well. Hopefully the downpipe is included or else you'll need to have one fabricated.

Thanks for the tip. It did come with the down pipe. Have you done this swap before? If so, what did you do for the fuel return line setup??

I sourced the clip from Team Orange in Ft Lauderdale. It wasn't cheap but better that than buying everything individually
