Default New Build (99 SC400)

Well,

Thanks to kponti (James), I have another car now. I bought this for my son but I'm sure it will be getting some things done to it. I can't leave anything alone. Car is in great shape and can't wait to get started. Here's a couple of pics.

Mark,

He wanted $9500.00. Let's just say I didn't pay that and I think we were both happy. The car is in really good shape. I'd rate it as follows:

Body 8/10. Some door dings and scuff on fender
Interior 9/10. Almost perfect inside
Drivetrain 9/10. Rides and drives great
Power 6/10. Forgot how slow the factory cars are. This will probably change someday when I take the car back over

Andrew,

You know me. No patience

Two of the wheels have major curb rash. Thinking of replacing. It has ADR M-sport silver finish now that are 18x8 front and 18x9 rear. One of each are bad. I had some ASA AR1 wheels on my red 300 and really liked them. Tire Rack has a hell of a deal on this staggered setup in black and silver centers. What do you guys think? I can get all four for what two of the ADR cost.

I like the look of the M sports better than the AR1's. You can't just get the lips refinished?

I was watching this car in the classifieds. Obviously I never saw it in person, but I always thought whoever picked it up would be happy.
I'm looking forward to see what you would have in store for a '99 SC400, your other build thread is one of my favorites

I'm going to have to take it easy right off the bat. I probably spent 3,000 on paper last night on stuff I'd like to do. Not going to happen. I have to keep reminding myself that my 16 year old is going to mess stuff up and that "other car" I own is my money pit. This one will be getting a damn nice stereo system though so I'll be keeping you guys updated.

Andrew,

Your such a pain in the ***. Yes, I'll build your adapters.

First money spent. JL Audio 600/4 amp and Alpine IVE-W535HD radio. These cars are a disease.

Great purchase! I heard from the grapevine that you picked up another SC. For a minute, I thought it was a low mile black NA-T 6spd.
