Little updates

upgarage took a while to ship the coilovers wich in return my buddy took a while to but they are on their way here now. Also my new MOMO steering wheel.

My amp took a **** surprisingly the subs can take more that what is rated. I slapped on a Alpine 1.1100 and it cuts off so the subs are definitely worth the $25 each I paid.

Question...
Does anyone know the spring rates on the Tanabe sustec z1coilovers?

I went ahead and wetsanded the car just to bring the shine back to life. And upgraded to full LED bulls throughout the car. Pics coming soon

glad to hear such quick progress. it helps to have friends ship parts to you from japan eh?

z1s are not available in the states so the spring rates will be unknown. i do know that all the stateside available spring rates from all the tanabe coilovers i've messed with are all on the soft side (similar to tein). but of course japan-only market products may differ!

keep the pics coming!

makes me want to getting my LS back up to par inside!
I hate my mint cloth interior looking trashed up with those little detail pieces falling apart

Updates coming
coilovers are here they are in pretty good condition they even came with the original instructions and stickers not bad for $350 compared to megans and bc for $900.

instaled the wheels on so we can see what a 18x11 and 18x12.5 fits without the flares and fronts seem doable but the rears are not going to happen. edit..disregard the gun on the reservoir

steering wheel is on, i am going more for that GT style than Vip.

now on to fit the fender flares. Note the fronts is easy actually plenty of room after the cut but rears are a pain. i cut the quarter then bend them up and sealed with 3m window seal in the summer when i get ready to paint the car they will be welded.

temp tape

havent adjusted height but tucks the wheels in well

Now time to get the ride height i need. I do not like the oil pan location on this car. Its crazy low i cant believe how low it is so i am creating a skid pan for it next week then i will go lower.

Need to adjust the alignment to get the fitment spot on but looks good.

Getting the camber dialled once the drop is set will make a world of difference!

Check and make sure that is actually the clunk you are hearing... Might actually be the UCAs, LBJ, strut rods and/or swaybar links/bushings. If you actually need to cut the holes, you'll be able to tell by the dent in the strut tower and hammered tip of the UCA.

Are you going to leave the fenders like that or clean them up, money/time permitting?

Thanks guys

Fenders flares will be metal and welded this summer I have to get my FD ready.

The clunk is the infamous UCA hitting the tower nothing else.

Yes the coilovers were $350 shipped.

yes, yes and YES! love it all. killer deal on the coilovers. i would preload it a bit more. what i found is that tanabe has pretty soft spring rates. this may minimize your clunking until you cut the holes. also it will able you to drive lower, once the skid plate is there.
