the budget build of fyeah
Howdy (I'm from Texas, sorry),
Really starting to be on the forums more and more and finally going to begin modding my 2010 IS350 more, so thought I'd introduce myself. Plus, you guys seem like more of a "classy" group than my ex-forum (my350z).
First car/love was my 2002 Lexus IS300 (photo from 2009):
Second up was a 2008 Nissan 350z Grand Tourismo on Gramlights:
Picked up a 1991 300zx TT with 60k miles for a daily (I knew it was a bad idea when I did it, but I love(d) this car so much, I didn't care):
Didn't much care for the low and slow life so I bought a 2008 Nissan 350z Nismo and put on a TT kit with some other fun stuff (still currently own this, but it is for sale):
me and my wife with our Z's..this was for our engagement shoot.
The 300zx was giving me too many issues so I picked up a 2003 350z for a daily...wasn't my choice for a daily but I was in a desperate spot (no pictures...it was in rough shape).
Ended up trading in the 2003 350z for my 2010 Lexus IS350. Purchase used from Sewell in January of 2013 with 49k. Almost one year later it has about 60k miles.
Got in a little fender bender literally 3 weeks after buying. First accident of my life. I was pretty upset...
But I made the most out of it. Took it in for repairs and upgraded to the F-Sport front end. Just before that, I upgraded to the LED headlights as well...
And this is how she currently sits.
Plans:
1) Work Gnosis HS203 (19s)
2) Coilovers (haven't decided on brand yet)
3) Joe Z exhaust (soon)
Anyhow, as a full-time student money isn't as lucrative as it used to be so the "build" will be slowly but surely. I've missed the Lexus community, and I'm happy to be back.

Welcome back to the IS Lexus Community.
Great history of cars you got there. Love the gram lights.
Sorry to hear about the minor fender bender. But I guess things happen for a reason. Nice upgrade with the f-sport front end and led headlights.
A nice set of coil overs will make a world of difference appearance wise, maybe some performance.
Good luck with the mods and keep us updated.

Yeah, I'm excited to bring the car down an inch or two. Just need to do some research on brands. I'd like to keep the comfort aspect of the ride.
I'll keep everyone updated with the car on this thread.

Thanks
I miss that car more than anything. It wasn't the fastest, the newest, but it was definitely the most fun.
It's pretty expensive. The kit from sewell painted is about $2k, then you can install yourself. I think that would be the cheapest route.

UPDATE: Ordered Stance coilovers, Megan rear camber arms, and work Gnosis HS203 (19x9.5/10.5 +31 all around).
Wheels won't be in for a while. In the mean time, I'm looking for a Joe Z exhaust and possibly a rear lip of some kind. Maybe some side skirts.
