yeah, i have been wanting a GTE Swap for the longest time, just my financial situation is not enough for it at the moment.

update on the car, gonna catch up on some maintenance and repairs
will be redoing the radiator tomorrow as well as oil pan gasket soon and an oil change, i do hope the upper oil pan is ok on my car and that its just my oil pan gasket thats tweaked.

I can understand the financial situation part. I read you're still a student, just focus on that. So when you are done and making the "big bucks" you can build your car the way you want without your parents breathing down your neck.

I'v been there. I bought my GS when I was 19 too and I didn't go GTE until 7 years later, lol.

Default update:

welp havent really updated much in this thread, just some info on what was going on with the car lately.

First off I had a couple check engine lights, p0325 Bank 1 knock sensor, P0441 Evap emission control p0161 and p0156 Heated 02 sensor bank 2. I can explain 3 of four codes lol

p0441 my vacuum line going to the VSV always pops off, threw a fresh line on it and its stayed since.
p0156 and 161, i ripped my 02 sensor off on bank too on accident, bought a new 02 and rebolted my pipe back to the cat and it went away.
P0325 was my bank 1 knock sensor, replaced the bank 1 sensor twice and still kept getting a code, stopped by a shop who has an account at my work and just asked for input, found out through alldata that my bank 1 and bank 2 wire were swapped around sooooooo... replaced the bank 2 KS along with new connectors and boom code went away by itself and can get the freaking manifold off and back on with new KS withinan hour . fixed my CEL's and passed emissions and got the car re registered! Radiator also decided to crack and break off the neck on the upper hose on my way to work one day, car was stuck there for two days while i sourced a new radiator and threw it in my work parking lot two days after! I also smashed my oil pan really hard on a dip that was unmarked from construction and was just puking out quarts of oil every day. finally replaced my oil pan and redid the gasket, again (resealed it once before already) and no the car doesn't leak any oil, up next is going to be motor mounts, inner tie rods, and exhaust cuz im tired of my car being so loud. Once all the maintenance and run right stuff is done then ill start saving up for my toe arms, ruca, and fuca's then figure out my new wheels set up.

in other words, no more cosmetics until maintenance and repairs are finished, I want the car to drive like a lexus and not a hooptie 240, I also found a local welding shop thats gonna shorten and plate my front knuckles for a great price too so im looking forward to the car not bouncing over every bump, ill post pics soon.

I know some of you guys may not really care about what I put up but for being 20 years old, not going to school or taking any classes on working on cars but looking back at everything that i have worked on and accomplished on my cars, I just gotta say im pretty proud at myself. haha, this car has never been to any shop at all for all the service thats been done to it. only shop that i would think in the future would be exhaust and body shop but thats all.

update:
buckled old fender, found bondo, ok bai,
bought used fender, test fitted it on, buckled later that night, :/
finished cutting my upper control arm holes, car rides great
installed new inner tie rods
aligned my car myself because i can't fit the any in ground lifts in town :/ never was able to get a straight alignment anyways so this worked out better
threw on 20mm spacers making my wheels 9.5 -10, which would explain my fender issue,
and upsized to 215/40 instead of 225/35 to save my oil pan.
scrubbed the crap out of my interior too

amazingly when i heated it up and did a smooth roll with the bar it didn't crack, only when i didn't heat it up and dropped the car on the bar was when it cracked because i didn't want my lip to hit the inner fender.
