Heat soak isn't something you want, nor do you want any cracks in your manifold either. Fair enough though. Your build, your call. Looks good either way

I personally would put a clutch fan back on. There's a reason the 800+hp Supras still run a clutch fan and not electric fans...it's because THEY WORK, and they work well.
Aside from that, you seem to be on the right track.

I'm going to try it out this way but yeah I read that the clutch fan is definitely recommended. I do want to go with a radiator that will be good for 600 hp. Anybody know any good radiators that will get me there? But still using the same fan shroud? Thanks.

I like the e-fan set up and pulleys I'm gonna try it but with dual fans and with manual switchs inside. But yea I would agree to take of heat wrap I was gonna do it till my friend at the exhaust shop told me it will cook ur headers so much in time they will be brittle. Its designed for race like drag you run it gets hot for awhile then you cut off to cool down for next run, but everyday use is like bakers oven. But keep up the great work and best of luck

Well I haven't updated this thread in a GREAT WHILE I apologize. But I finally got my money together and ordered the following:
R154 w/ 1jz housing
Driftmotion M Clutch pedal conversion kit
Action Stage 3 Clutch Kit
Clutch slave cylinder
1jz r154 flywheel
Full length Clutch hose
Turbo oil feed hose
Borgwarner S300SX3 turbo
The r154 trans should get here this upcoming week if all goes well with the sender. But the rest of my stuff will for sure be in this upcoming week. I WILL KEEP THIS THREAD POSTED FROM NOW ON I PLAN TO FINISH THE BUILD BY THE END OF THIS SPRING IF NOT SOONER if all goes well of course.

Today I worked a little bit on taking out the automatic trans along with the driveshaft and the differential. Here are some pics
I was going to start draining and taking down the differential but apparently you need giant Alan wrenches so I will need to wait until tomorrow so I can borrow my buddy's.
The only things I really did was disarm the shifter linkage and start unbolting the shifter. Hopefully tomorrow I can really get started on taking everything off.
I'm looking to get a lsd differential might go with a trd lsd but if I could go a little cheaper without too much difference it would be cool but in the meantime I'll start with swapping out the trans.

Took a whole new approach but in the right direction! So i finally got all my parts previously listed but ended up getting a different r154 because I never got the first one this r154 trans is a freshly built one that really should be good for the long run cost me a pretty Penney but should be good for that high horsepower I'm looking for (only downside is that the housing of the shifter broke at the tip but the seller assured me that it'll get fixed so I'm waiting for that...) As my friend and I were beginning to pull out my engine for the oil pan drilling, my friend convinced me to go with a 2jzgte which by the looks of things will be much cheaper and more reliable seeing as I really don't want to mess with my engine later. So we removed the engine and am now looking for a 2jzgte...

Starting to take the GTE apart, twin turbos are off along with the manifold. Also took the transmission off of the 2jz-ge to mount it on the engine stand so I can take off the rear sump oil pan and swap it with the front sump of the gte one. Hopefully I can take the harness off before Wednesday so I can ship both harnesses off to get merged. If anybody needs 2JZ-GE PARTS LET ME KNOW I'M PARTING IT OUT REALLY CHEAP.
