Default SC4: My daily build (pic heavy)

Well I guess its time to get this ball rolling. I bought this 92 Auto RJP SC300 off these forums on July 4th 2012 from this thread : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...xus-sc300.html

I bought it in decent shape, needed some TLC but nothing crazy. I called and talked him into the mentioned price of $2k in the thread. When I got there I offered him another $250 for the xxr 502's with tires, dual 3" exhaust with magnaflow mufflers, spare hood, spare trunk w/ flat wing, both fenders, koyo rad and a load of other oem spare stuff. A steal in my opinion... He agreed and helped load it all in the truck with my buddy and made the drive back!

I've been researching a ton while reading and helping with what I can. I have lots of plans for this car and have only just gotten started. I've already started with just a handful of mods but I'll post pictures of everything I do along the way. In a nutshell I will be going with a single turbo setup on the GE and swap in some kind of a 5/6 speed trans.

I want to thank everyone who has already replied to my numerous PM's and posts and in advance for the future mass amounts of questions I'll have along the way!

Here goes!

On the way to get it:

This was the first day I got it with the truck already loaded up with the extra parts:

First things first, installed the radiator, wheels and exhaust that same night. The radiator was for a 6sp Supra so I had to get a cheap/temporary tranny cooler:

And thats where it stood the next day:

Next I tinted the windows 15% all around, a buddy of mine did it on his day off from his normal shop that offers a lifetime warranty:

Installed 5000k HID's and wired the turn fogs into running lights. Then took some random pictures.

Mod wise just the radiator and T cooler, I feel like i've done so much more but pretty sure it was all just replacing and fixing things lol. I have boxes stacked in my room of parts to go on but need to do some maintenance first. Next couple things will be rear wheel bearings, bushings all around, megan tie and toe bars and new tires. Ill post some teaser pics when I get home tonight of some goodies.

Got a few parts in while I was off on vacation/work. Don't mind the dog hair, the culprit is in the photos lol

CXracing Turbo, new but sending to Garrett to be polished and rebuilt with higher quality parts. I may trade out for a BW s366 though.. hmmmm....
T-70 - .96 Hot side - (QSV will be installed)
CXracing manifold
ARP headstuds
Supertech valve seals
Ebay 31x3.5x11 FMIC w/ 2.5" beaded piping, black sili and T-bolts.
GTE Headgasket
Some other stuff still on the way in the next few days...

I haven't decided on engine management yet, although I'm leaning towards megasquirt again. My roommate and I built and tuned his Miata using MS3 ourselves and was actually pretty straight forward.. Otherwise I'm thinking about doing the TT ecu with COP. I don't plan on ever breaking over 550-600hp.. Any tips? AFC instead? lol jkjk

Id swap the T70 out for the BW man. As far as management MS3 is good, I personally never dealt with it but Ive seen a lot of cars run smooth as hell with it.

I prolly will, but after this gets rebuilt it'll be as good as any other turbo, I'll use this to get things rolling with the tune, upgrade fuel etc etc but it'll suffice until I upgrade.

Small update and question. I have a rear wheel bearing starting to go out on me so I'm going to replace both. There's a SC400 donor car I could get the whole hub from but didn't know if they are the same fitment from the 300 and 400, anyone know? I'm almost positive they are, just didn't feel like getting dirty if I didn't have to lol

I need to remember to take pictures as I go and not the finished product

Installed the LS400 Calipers. I'm going to paint them either silver or black, undecided for now so they are stock and dirty

Kinda gross but I ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES but I was being dumb and the dust shield wrecked me...

Received and Installed the 3" midpipe from SF. It sounds exactly the same through everyday driving but when I step on it you can tell up top there is more power and sound. Awesome and fairly cheap mod for anyone, boosted or not.

Sanded, filled, buffed and sealed the headlights the right way, shouldn't get yellowed again for another couple years. They are much more sharp and clear! Sorry for the dirty car, weathers been crazy here.

Got a replacement bracket for the bumper to attach to the fender to rid of the zip ties and fix the fitment!

Couple of pictures for fun

I wouldn't need a stroker to beat him but what I have ready to install wouldn't cut it either, his cars not stock at all lol.
