Default FuMoFFuTT's Soarer Build Thread from beginning to end..

Who am I kidding? It'll never end

Anyways, I've been on CL for quite some time now and I've already posted some before and after pics after I put the body kit and had the car repainted. I guess I'll post it up again so people will know what's up

Goal, 400-500rwhp dd and weekend warrior

Plans

- Maintenance First
- Restore all interior and exterior
- Hope to get 400-500rwhp eventually when everything's done. Not 100% set on what I want yet

WARNING: I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING FROM WHERE I GOT THIS CAR! THEY SELL GARBAGE! And are NOT TRUST WORTHY.

Engine bay after cleaning

First thing I did.... HID's

Not much happened in between this step until I re-did the exterior. I just gave it a complete tune-up, spark plugs, gaskets, oil, coolant, etc etc..

Here's after the paint
I also got rid of the 4" single exhaust an put 2 Dynomax Superturbos on with some stock looking chrome tips so the police don't give me trouble (Ended up getting a ticket anyone, gonna contest)

Here's what I did..
Vertex kit with molded front bumper, half of the bumper is OEM, perfect fitment
Vertex sides
Rear Lip.. no idea.. I found it somewhere and they were throwing it away got it for freeee HAHA
95-96 Rear Tails
97+ Fog Lighs
97+ Front Grill
Glass high beams with Silverstars inside

Days and weeks went by, I didn't know where to continue.. so I came onto CL and INSPIRATION! BUT Inspiration = spending more money though..

What I got next

TRD Shift **** (this thing is great)

R1 Concept rotors

Newww wheel yummy..

New Pioneer headunit also, so everything installed TADAAA

--------

I still found the lighting for the car was a little lacking, so I stepped it up another notch, ordered some LED's and another HID kit for the fogs

What was done:
HID kit for fogs
LED parking light
LED License plate

Next on the list of upgrades were Brake and Suspension, I needed something that I could enjoy for daily driving and potentially take it around the track.

My priorities are maintenance before anything, so I installed new tie rods, and upper control arms .. it was only later that I found out I needed the lower control arms also, wow these are EXPENSIVE.. good thing the Supra control arms are a cheaper alternative

Lower Control Arms

Now that everything maintenance wise was taken care of, my Teins that I currently have on were getting old and crusty so I needed an alternative.

I went for Tanabe Sustec-Pro Fives + the TEAS System thanks ScottUrNot for the TEAS.
I haven't installed them yet, but they're waiting to be installed. Hopefully the TEAS will allow to adjust the car for track and daily driving with ease.

+

= WIN

Also forgot the mention the TRD strut bar, sorry I couldn't get a better picture, hopefully when it's installed I'll get another one.

That's all I have for suspension as of now, so back to braking.. THANK YOU SCOTTURNOT for the Supra TT complete brake kit

Here's when I got it, DAMN THESE WERE HEAVYYY! I had to help the dude delivering it carry it out of the truck.
I've never seen so much duct tape, in my LIFE. lol
]

This is 2 layers off...

Finally! This is 15 minutes of un-wrapping btw.. lol

They're still in the garage waiting to be un-wrapped. Calipers out of the boxes to make sure there's nothing that leaks to damage the paint on them. Rotors are on a nice flat even surface, damn I can't wait.

At this point, I've had the car for a little over 1 year now and there hasn't been much improvement. It's still in storage, hopefully have it out in the next week or two.

Wanna see how it sits?

It got dirtyyy

No more CHEAPO HKS FOAM GARBAGE filter.. HKS Power intake kit on it's wayy!

It took me a whole 4 hours... wow.. The dash isn't as hard as it seems, I think 2 hours I can remove everything again.

Notice the sub wire, I still don't know how I'm going to get it into the engine bay

___________________________________

Here's some progress, I worked on it a bit yesterday night

Woooooohooooo! Carpets in! Looks better already. By the way, I only work barefoot in my car to not get anything dirty.
Forgot to mention that I also installed an Apexi SAFC II in the car.

Dash is half in at this point....

Wasn't bright enough so I got a table lamp, these things are AWESOME lol

FINALLY all the way in, just needed to put back all the wires and harnesses in their proper place.

That's all the progress I have so far, it was getting late and I was slept two hours the night before

Since I'm doing the interior, sound upgrade is a must

Wow, I just realized how un-organized this build thread is.. sorry about that guys

Can anyone guess what's in the box? :P

I also got some new wheeels, it's been posted before but oh well..
Volk Racing GT-7 19x9.5 +30 and 19x10.5 +23

That's it for now, I'll get some more progress on the interior when I'm done, here's what the interior used to look like for reference though
