Cool

Sometimes work consumes a lot of my personal time. I haven't really touched my car in about a week. I get car build A.D.D. sometimes. Hope you guys don't mind

So my fenders got some paint on Sunday.

Unfortunately it's still in the shop. I took a few minutes to look at them yesterday and told the painter he needs to redo it. For now, I'm not gonna bother going into the details. For some reason in Upstate NY you get a bunch of half-a** work. Maybe some people wouldn't bother posting if something goes wrong. Whether it's good or bad, I want to record the progression here. That's what a build thread is for after all...

Stay tuned for some more positive updates coming soon, though.

-Mike

I believe there's more half a** work out there than a quality job with no issues... If i'm paying for something it better be damn perfect... love those engine pulley's

I totally agree. I'm no paint/body guy but I know every imperfection on my car. If it's going to be done, it better be done right!..

Those are Driftmotion pulleys on the Supra. Titan cam gears also. We should have that little monster running over the weekend!

Trunk is almost finished. False floor built and compressors mounted so I can tuck the wiring. I like things clean and simple.

This is a good simple build. nothing crazy, just something to show ur progress. plus , car guys always like to see other peoples progress on their car no matter how big or small.

I have the car back at the moment. The shop I brought it to did a horrible job on my fenders. I'm still waiting for them to finish the lower caps, actually. I planned to let him repaint the entire car with the kit I have on the way, but now I'm just gonna wait. Should be moving back to Florida in a few months, hopefully I can source a decent body shop then. Here's a snapshot of how it currently sits:

Absolutely sick of the XXR's. Current plan of attack is suspension arms refresh, maybe powder coating them a custom color, then dialing in my (nearly 4 years old) never mounted wheels!

Thanks for looking
-Mike

Don't worry, I definitely have another set of wheels. In fact they're older than the 521's- bought them in 2011 and never mounted yet...The xxr are just something to daily drive on.

I actually just threw my stock wheels back on yesterday. Prepping for the road trip back to Florida next month.

TGINRXXR: Thank God I'm Not Running XXR's lol. Moving back to Florida next month. Heavy crappy 20's had to come off, fresh tread on the stocks, and a fun burnout on dubs somewhere inbetween. STILL waiting on lower fender caps to get painted. No big deal, only been like 2 months lol

What it looks like currently:

I have a few little things going on just to prep for the road trip. There won't be much progress until after the move. Then maybe it'll start looking like a nice car again and not a junk box.
