Hey guys I have been searching all over this site and other forums with no luck. So I recently finished my 2jzgte vvti swap into my 98 gs300. The problem I am having is it will idle fine without the MAF plugged in but as soon as I plug it in the car sputters and dies within 3 seconds. I have tested the MAF and it is within spec and responds to air. I even tried a new MAF with the same results and I am using the correct GTE sensor in a 3" intake pipe. I have reset the ecu, checked resistance on all sensors on the TB, all are in spec but still no luck. Any ideas?

What happens if you try driving it with MAF unplugged?

It just doesn't get above 20mph can't press the peddle too much it'll sputter and die. I've also checked the intake manifold and vacuum lines for any leaks. I'm think the ecu could be bad. That's my last guess otherwise I'm stumped.

Check pedal position sensor on throttle body it will cause that issue
