Tj's 95 SC300 1jz Swap

thanks bro. i appreciate the kind words. So i stopped by my friends house and he was finishing up the wire tuck with the custom harness he made.. I also had to send back my Tweaked Patch harness because the wrong connector was on there. I needed it for the 2j and the one that was on there was for a soarer. Which was my fault and Cam@tweak was very cool about it and was able to fix it and that should be done tomorrow and shipped back to me. Car should be fully done by end of next week.
patch harness with soarer connecter but will be fixed with 2j connector. (btw the harness looks really good. ). i have on the harness boost, fuel, wideband, iat and map. i will also be running a 3.5 bar aem map sensor.

I'm near Plainfield not too far from Gonzy. I'm building/restoring a 93 SC with a 1jz vvti, r154, with. TRD lsd. Hope to be done by end of summer. It's been a 2 year build. Same as you I dressed up the motor and resprayed the engine bay.

Vvti choice came down to budget and goals. I of course wanted a 2jz but a V160 was out of the question due to price. I found a rear sump, tripod r154, 1jz vvti with an aftermarket ramhorn manifold that used the stock turbo all out of a Soarer.
I went over to the Jzx100 Chaser Aussie forums to get more info on the 1jz vvti's and they love these motors. I bought into the hype haha.

Awesome man! I know that feeling of anxiousness! Before you fire it up, fill the radiator with coolant (obviously ha) and then pull the hoses off of the firewall going to the heater core and pour coolant down them to completely fill the system. Otherwise you will have a hard time getting your thermostat to open. At least I did anyway and that's what I had to do. Maybe you already knew that or have a different way of starting up, but just figured I'd mention it
