Just got back home from vacation today....I had ordered an r154 rear output shaft seal and an w58 rear output shaft seal right before I left..

I got both just to see which one creates a tighter seal(w58)....and to have a backup(r154)...

W58(Left) R154(Right)......I thought it was weird that w58 seal doesnt have any grease on it and the r154 does....

Will be installing the w58 and keeping the r154 as a spare....

Hey guys I currently working it out with the seller for the soarer r154 issues I have ran into..

The seller and I both agreed to a deal and I am willing to give the transmission another shot

I am taking the tranmission back to freed engineering this Friday to have all the seals replaced.....I will be there with Ben Freed and will be able to see the inside of the case and everything that has been done to it..

Upon arrival at Freed the seller will have an MK3 Front Shaft and Gas money waiting for me....

All the above things are going to be at no cost to me...

I plan to start re-installation when I get back home on Friday and plan to take her out on Saturday...

Will update as I progress

well if you are doing a clutch job might as well throw a 2j in the tacoma. it would be really fun =)
I have heard the 3.4 supercharger has some kick too on another note.

I have thought about it....believe me it is a direct swap all i need to do is remove the r150f bellhousing and put a 1jz bellhousing on and get custom motor mounts....

But the 5vzfe is a pretty stout motor.....plus it is a 3.4 liter V6......they have been proven to make a lot of power.....

I may try out the cxracing turbo kit that is out....I would just purchase the exhaust piping kit and build the rest myself

Here is the kit: http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...Category_Code=

Well guys I am back from getting transmission being serviced at freed......ended up splitting the case wide open to make sure everything was good inside......

Verified that it did indeed have all brand new gears...you can tell because they still have paint marking on them....as well as the billet forks..

Freed installed both front and rear seals....and sealed the case back up for.....I also had the front bearing retainer swapped out with an unbroken one......Everything should be good to go

I was expecting to be getting the MK3 front driveshaft when I arrived at freed but something happened with the shipping according to the seller....I should have it by early next week

Man this is an awesome build. Glad to see you're still moving forward. Sucks about the R154 issue vs the W58 seemed to be fine except them limiting you on power. Looking forward to more.

So is the verdict of the issue related to the driveshaft length putting pressure on the box? Hopefully its a simple as that, correct the driveshaft and all problems go away.
