hy!

why goes your A/F very slow to rich? in the video in the tunnel you can hear the turbo spooling but the A/F is still on 14,7? a little later by higher rpm´s, the A/F go rich. open/closed loop from the ecu? i had the same problem on my Lexus IS200 Turbo with stock ecu. with bigger injectors and a SFC-II it was ok, but not perfect on my car.

Im on stock Aristo ECU with Stock 440cc injectors....Keep in mind im at 14psi....which isnt very much for my turbo...

I guess it is because what is feeding the stock ECU is the stock (narrowband) O2 sensor for close loop. His Innovate Wide band is basically a mere indicator of what it sees as AFR but its signal is not feeding the ECU for fuel injection correction. So the two O2 sensors do not necessarily read same value at exactly the same time , one being a wide band and the other narrow . Just my .02.

I always felt the JDM ecu does not kick in full rich until you have at least a few psi. I think its because it helps with spool and sometimes in regular driving with a turbo you won't be boosting but going uphill or whatever in a cruising gear and a slight amount of throttle from there will cause your vac to drop to 0 or even 1 psi or so if the turbo is anywhere close to spooling rpm, and you don't want a bunch of fuel being injected when you actually have not so much air moving it will probably slow you down. On aem I always shoot for bringing it down to 14-13afr at 0 psi, and transition to full rich around 4 psi where you know you are definitely in boost and spooling up quickly. I was not surprised to see the stock gte ecu doing the same thing. Toyota knows its pretty hard to detonate a motor at 2 psi, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks guys....It runs great and pulls very hard...

I love the reliability of the ECU....Starts right up and drives like any other car....

Toyota knew what they were doing with the 2jzgte ECU....

I am probably 100hp over stock levels...and ECU has no problem with it

hy

the problem is, you have boost but no fuel in the first time, the EGT goes high and you can kill your plugs, valves and gaskets, maybe knocking.. not good for a long time. When the fuels comes with the boost to the right A/F, you have earlier more power, better spool up and you save the engine.

fuel pump upgraded or stock from the SC?

here a good info to the aristo upgrade -> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ystem-faq.html

greets

Tom

I am running a Denso Supra Twin Turbo fuel pump

Thank you for the information.....but the setup I am currently running minus a SAFC..... is what of other people have run with no problem....

I am no where near finished with the build....Keep that in mind the car has been up and running just fine for 5 months now without any issue.

Im not sure what you mean by EGT... the gauge in the video is my wideband Air/Fuel Gauge...
