Jack's Transmission is trying to come out with aftermarket parts for the V160. I personally don't find it worthwhile any longer when you have an alternative that is cheaper , has tons of local support and at least in paper even has a higher torque specs .

I will hold on to my two brand new V160s as reserve though for my cars since I have no intention of getting one rebuilt if one of my 5 cars with V160 fails due to the costs involved and time frame to wait because of parts unavailability.

A Stage 3 Jack's Transmission rebuild is more than a brand new stock Tremec Magnum. Not worth it for me anymore .

Last piece really is to get a shaved throttle bottle to get rid of that ugly TRAC and Second TPS sensor...Wires for both of them where already removed from harness.

Hey hows it feel with no ABS on the street? pedal feel and sudden braking? Did you happen to document on how you went about deleting the abs? I'd love to see how you did it.

Feels way better than with ABS.....pedal feel is instant.......just need to be careful and get used to how much pressure to apply without locking them up.

I reused the existing lines from the car and just cut them to desired length and re-flared the ends...I can get some more detailed pics if you like. It is really a simple process

Note: You have to be comfortable and know how to use a double flaring tool.....the stock lines are pretty difficult to reflare....I may redo them all at a point with new copper lines as they are easier to work with...

This can be done easily with purchase of tools for around $100-150

You need to use this T for front brakes...reuse the old lines as there will a few extra once you get rid of ABS unit.



Use existing line going over to passenger side front..obviously you will need to rebend it in places to make it work...



For rear just fish line back over from ABS....cut to length of master cylinder and flare ends..

You can also go to Napa or your auto parts store and get assembled hard brake lines in several different lengths. They are cheap as well.

True but really had to tell what lengths will work....around the back of engine is the tricky part....

If you have engine out of car it would be much easier....kinda wish I would have done it back then....

The best way to get measurements like this is to use a string or small hose and route it as you would the line. Then lay it out straight and measure the length. I've done it this way many times on old trucks. Works like a charm.

Oh yea that is a good idea with the string.....I will more then likely just do all new lines......for peace of mind...
