CatManD3W SC300 Ongoing Build...

Got the car back from getting exhaust work done......the muffler needs reworked a little bit better....
It needs to be adjusted to go up a little higher....and I want to change the muffler out to a blitz nur spec or hks....
Full 3" from turbo to tail....
How are you guys with single exhaust mounting the muffler......I tried to utilize the factory mount but it was not letting the muffler sit high enough...Post some pics of your subframe back sections...There is hardly any room to fit a exhaust hanger

It is really hard to tell when the car is up in the air on the lift what it looks like until you get it on the ground

The first black sc300 has a wider body rear bumper that hides the muffler more and IMO looks better while the 92-96 rear bumper just doesn't have enough bumper to make it flow well. Just my opinion I'm not probing your setup I think the single exhaust is simple and will ultimately flow better but appearance wise its harder to perfect on the SC chassis.
I'm partial to the dual SS slanted muffler look. I have the fujitsubo cat-back which is made very nicely, it's extremely quiet and not quite as aggressive looking but it looks clean.

I do like the look of duals.....I guess the real problem most people face is there isnt that many exhaust kits for the SC.. they dont offer the piping on them in 3"
On the exhaust I was purely geared on the performance benefits that can be had with full 3" exhaust without any restrictions
The additional cost to run the duals merely....just for looks didnt make sense...but that being said the muffler can be tucked up in the bumper a higher than I currently have it and I plan on filling the other side of the bumper in

sometimes you can get a shorter rubber hanger for the last one that might raise it up a bit without re-doing exhaust work. the stock ones are large rubber ones you will have to look and see what they use, if so you can get the short ones at the auto store or make them fix it. Isn't the rear exhaust mount bracket where you can pull the car from I probably wouldn't remove it and maybe even make them put it back. you can move the bracket around and use less of the mounting holes, but at least keep the one on the passenger side never know when you may need to get pulled up a ramp.

The only reason I removed it as the muffler was hitting it and wouldnt let it tuck in the bumper the way I wanted.... The shop still didnt do it right....especially the hanger they welded on the end...it looks like hell...not sure what he was thinking
I still have the bracket on the right rear of the car and thought about getting a tow hook made to utilize the empty hole in the bumper

sounds like you are on top of it sometimes those guys just do the easiest thing when they are tired not what looks the best. now thats a thought one of those nice toe hooks sticking out the right bumper hole might look interesting. not sure if anyone has done that one yet its gotta be better than an empty exhaust cutout.

Few more shots of the exhuast......I can live with I guess for now....The guy keeps blowing me off and wont fix it how I want....
I also went ahead and got my led's in for the cluster...Pretty pleased with the result....much better than it was before...there are a few hot spots and my fuel gauge needle is burnt out
I cannot get that light to go for the burnt out bulb indicator.....It appeared after I swapped over to 95 tails.....Is there anyway to make it go off....if not I may just remove the bulb
