GClark's 95 1JZGTE SC300
Figured I should make one of these, this is my 3rd SC after all.
I originally bought what I thought was a clean 99
But it turned out to be a rust bucket.
Sold that, and bought a 95 SC300, better body, and the plan was to 1jz swap it.
Well that sat for a few months and I couldn't find any Soarer 1j's for sale.
A 1jz swapped 95 manual SC came up for sale on craiglists that said it was overheating and needed a headgasket.
So this is what I picked up tonight. Bumper will be replaced with the other 95's bumper, 1jz heating issue fixed, wheels, coils, single turbo, and maybe a r154 to come soon.
The body on this one is very clean, but the interior is trashed. Luckily I have the other 95 to get all the parts from.
Most of this will be accomplished with the help from one of my buddies with a 2jzgte swapped gs,
and his brother who has a swapped sc too.

Man, why cant I find a deal like this Craigslist. Some of the pictures didnt work. Can you reload or upload them again?
I want to see more of this car! I wonder if the overheating is indeed a blown headgasket or thermostat?

Thanks, it took awhile, but this SC will be worth it. I'm very excited it's a 5 speed, I'm sick of driving autos.
I think I fixed them. This is the only other one I took, it was raining super hard last night, I'll get more today.
The best part of this was the price, it was basically the cost of a 1jz by it self... There was oil in the coolant, but I guess I'll find out as we tear into it.

Took it for a short drive the other day and its pretty damn fast.
Turns out it's not a original manual car, it was swapped. Theres a hole in the tranny tunnel since the manual and auto transmissions shifters are different lengths, and theres also an exhaust leak. Well when you get on it, the exhaust shoots right up into the cabin, it's wonderful. I haven't put it on a lift yet, so I don't know yet if it's a w58 or r154. The headgaskets were fine too, the thermostat was wired wrong.
Quick cell phone pic, work will start on it in a week or so hopefully.

Slowly gathering parts!
Varrstoen ES7's ordered, 9.5 and 10.5. BC coils ordered too. The turbo I went with is the Precision 5858, looking for around 450whp.
I think the next I'd like is Shine kit and some Brian Cower Cams.
