So we tried used a different fuel pump hangar along with the AEM FP and it hasn't had an issue with consistency since Friday. The alternator also was charging the battery at 18v, so we got a brand new one and it's charging at 14v consistently as well. Man, I am not used to this kind of power lol it lights up in 3rd. These tires aren't going to last too long.

Now I keep blowing fuses for brake lights, and I have one headlight out, so I'm going to work on those issues today.

Also, is it normal for the GTE guys to run a line above mid on the coolant temp gauge in the SC dashes/gauges?

Ok, car is finally out from paint!

Went with a dark/midnight purple:

Since the driveshaft/adapter was used when I bought it, I went ahead and installed a new one since the old one was beat up. Also, oil pan and valve cover gaskets are leaking oil. Those are things that I knew I should've done while the engine was out of the car, but didn't and told myself that I would deal with them later on lol paying the price now. Gonna go ahead and do cam seals also. My next big purchase is going to be an AEM V2 as I just ordered the wideband. I also am currently using the GE MAF, so I'm going to find and purchase an aristo GTE VVT-i MAF as well as the car seems to be running slightly richer on it at idle.

Great work...hey can you take a side shot when it's nice out? It's hard to gauge the paint color. Thanks man! Congrats on the swap again!

Yes, I definitely will, the car is at my friend's shop right now, but I might be down there this weekend. In the meantime, here is how the paint looks in natural sunlight.

Ok, so my car is currently at my friend's body shop as I've noticed several errors/issues with the paint job. I found a few bubbles along w/ several other shortcuts that were taken in the process.

I am going to have the paint re-done along with a roll cage install.

I'm also currently in the process of putting together my fuel system an am trying to figure out what injector size to run.

I know that I will be running 100% E85, so I want to confirm what I've been able to calculate as far as injector sizing goes, and would appreciate it if someone else can chime in:

I am aiming to make 600 WHP w/ an injector duty cycle of 85%.

I take a BSFC of .87 (for E85) and multiply it against my wanted/expected flywheel HP (650), which gives me 565.50.

I then multiply that by .85 (injector duty cycle % I want to run), and that gives me 480.68.

Then I divide it by the number of injectors I will be using (which is 6), and that gives me a total of 80.11 lbs/hr of E85.

To convert that into CCs, I just multiply 80.11 by 10.5, and I get 841.18cc.

So a set of 850-900cc injectors should be sufficient for E85 @ 650 HP at the flywheel, correct?

So last week, I decided to go a different route, and go w/ a GTX4088R all vband and a Doc Race vband manifold w/ a MVR 44mm EWG adapter. They should be done fabbing up the mani by next week as I bought both as a combo and got a great discount w/ the whole setup being completely vband.

I did a lot of reading around, and it looks like 1150-1250cc high impedance injectors will be plenty sufficient for my power goals (on 100% E85). Haven't decided if I should run a big badass single flowing pump or run a dual pump setup.

My next biggest concern is going to be my clutch/flywheel combo for that power level. Do any of you have recommendations for a clutch/flywheel/PP combo that can deal with 7-800 lbs of torque? Clutchmasters quoted me $2500 for a twin disk that can hold up to 1500 tq, but that's obviously wayy overboard for my current power goal. I've heard horrible things about the ACT kits, so I'm avoiding those completely.

I just recently dropped the car off @ Kaizen Motorsports to have Jose wire up my Infinity-6 w/ a milspec setup. He will also be installing the turbo/downpipe and doing the fab work, and also installing the E85 fuel system. Here are some pics from Doc Race with my completed setup:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the route that I will go. I should've had the trans completely rebuilt when I first bought it from a guy who was parting out his MK3, but he told me that he had rebuilt it a few months back, but I swear that both 3rd and 4th gear make some uncomfortably weird noises...

Worst case scenario is that after I get it tuned and on the street, if a synchro gets destroyed or goes, then I'll just get the whole trans rebuilt.

That's not enough injector for E85. Rule of thumb is you need roughly 35% larger injector than you would use for gasoline. For 600whp you'll need at least 1000cc injector. Personally I would just step up from there. I ran the PTE 1270cc injector for a few years with E85. My Supra made 836whp with those and I was getting close to the limit according to my tuner. For my new build I went with the FIC 2150s so I have some room in case one of my fuel pumps dies during a pull. The PRO EFI monitors fuel pressure and will add injector if the car loses fuel pressure for some reason. The 2150s give me more leeway. My old 1270 PTE injectors are going on the SC since I won't be making as much power.

Steve, thank you for the advice. I will definitely run bigger if that was the case for you. But 2150 seems a bit excessive for my setup. However, the 1270s seem perfect. When you were maxing out the 1270s, were you running 43.5 psi or more fuel pressure than that?
