Default 6sick6's semi gloss DSM

Hey CL, I havent been posting for a while but i check in when i can. I figured id start my own little build thread. To start off, heres a link to my thread i already made on painting my DSM IS350.

http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-s...paint-job.html

Current mods:
GFX rear lip
GFX side skirts
Rep fabulous carbon fiber front lip
carbon fiber roof spoiler
carbon fiber oem spoiler
Smoked tail lights, reflectors, and lightly smoked head lights and fogs
painted black-Roof, grill, emblems, window trim chrome
removed LEXUS and IS350 badges and shaved the holes in trunk filler piece
Repainted the entire car oem DSM color with a semi gloss clear coat
H&R springs
19x8.5 +33 offset(5mm spacers) in front, 19x10 +37 offset(5mm spacers)in rear, XXR 522 wheels
LMS intake
HKS hi power axle back exhaust
PPE long tube headers
Custom made mid pipe with Xpipe
EBC brake pads w/slotted and dimpled rotors
Painted calipers

Anyways i havent worked too much on the car til a couple weeks ago. I repainted my drivers fender due to some terrible scratches from rocks a landscaping truck gave me. I also painted my window pillars black since they were fading and painted the center section of my rep fabulous front lip to match the car after fixing all the cracks from hitting a pile of sod in the road. i got some pics of it all

cracks in lip

sanding out cracks

car sanded in booth

car all wrapped up

base coat black

base coat green

clear coated

semi gloss clear goes on shiny and dries semi glossy

Lip installed

Full pics of the car now

It took about 3 hours hours today but my buddies and I got my PPE headers installed on the factory mid pipe and my HKS axle back til i can get my Xpipe gets welded in in the next week.

Ive also got some EBC slotted and dimpled rotors and brake pads ill be installing soon

Along with painting my calipers while changing everything out

More pics to come!!!

Nice nice nice!
Love the color and what you did to the car
Why did you get slotted and drilled rotors? They are only for looks

Thanks man. I race it at the track at times and I was due for new rotors and pads anyways. Might as well upgrade right? Plus the gold tint to the rotors are gona look sick with the DSM color

I've read through your other thread of painting your car semi-gloss. I truly admire your excellent paint skill. Wish I could paint my car like that. The new additions in this thread are nice too.

Thanks everyone! Yea its stupid loud haha. Ill get on that video when I can and post it up for u guys.

Ill get more full car pics up after I get my new rotors on and paint my calipers!

Much appreciated SCWB! I've been workin in the industry for about 7 years now. Definitely have to be good with detail to be a painter, that's for sure. I'm really wanting to start molding me a 4GS fsport bumper soon after seeing other member do it. Sooo badass!
