Tony Tang's USF41 Executive Build Thread
Hello Club Lexus!
My name is Tony from NorCal (Bay Area, Northern California) and I am a noobie here on CL. However, I'm not really new to the car scene. I'll post some pictures of my other rides and wheel obsession below.
Well, after months of searching and going back and forth on whether to get a GS460, LS460 or even the LS600hL, I am finally a Lexus owner. I settled on a 2007 LS460L fully loaded with the Executive seating option. The Executive seating was my main search criteria and that narrowed down my options quite a bit. I even played around with the idea of going out of state to pick up one. Alas, I found one, fairly clean and decent mileage in SoCal. I booked a flight to LA, flew down, checked out the car, paid in cash and drove it back up. All in the same day. I must say, the drive back was amazingly comfortable. I almost forgot how it is driving a stock height car.
I don't have much going on right now with the LS, but things will pick up quickly within the next few months as parts are already ordered and on their way from Japan.
I am not very good at doing build threads but I will try and update the thread as I go along.
Don't mind the wheels. Not my style but they came with the car. At least they are quality true 3pc wheels. Not sure on the brand either.
Anyways, here are some pictures the day I picked up the car.
Here are some pictures of my current rides and obsession.
My other "VIP" car:
My "Track" car:
My "Drift" car:
My other hobbies:
Sorry for the long post. Let me know if you have any questions, comments or would like to see more or less pictures/videos.
Thanks,
Tony

Thanks guys. I've seen each one of your builds and I love it that you guys are always coming out with something new and unique.
I hope that my build will be a fraction as good as your guy's builds.

First things first, drive height. I couldn't stand the 4x4 height on the stock LS so I paid a visit to my buddy Carlin @Impact Performance in San Francisco. Carlin told me that he could help me lower the car in the meantime while I wait for my aftermarket air suspension to get built and ship from Japan.
The man himself, Carlin checking out the rear executive seat while getting a shiatsu massage.
Adjusting the stock lowering links with the car ON to trick the air system to go lower. Note the wheel gap.
Lowering links adjusted. It's very difficult to get all the sides to sit evenly. This is the resulting drive height now. It's a good 3 to 4 finger gap lower than stock. This will do for now.
Shortly after Carlin finished, Nat (CL: Nat) and Elvin (CL: lbintab) from Endless Projects came by and we had an impromptu mini LS460L meet. It was cool see 3 LS460L's lined up like that.
Next up, wheels and exhaust... Stay tuned.
Thanks,
Tony

Next up, custom Exhaust! I wanted to do a similar exhaust setup I did on my Infiniti M45. So I paid a visit to my favorite exhaust guy, Andy @Classic Muffler in San Jose.
This is what we came up with.
Cut everything after the cats. Added a X-pipe then 2 1/4 piping all the way through to dual Magnaflow mufflers. I must say, the 4.6l V8 sounds really good. I love the sound of modern V8's.
Here is a quick sound clip I posted on my IG:

I did have some exhaust droning at 1500rpm to 2000rpm. I will update on how I fixed that issue later.
