That was cut then polished, if you just add polish you will not get same result. Maybe temporary results if the polish you use has fillers in it and no good come from fillers

Brakes desperately need to be replaced as the car has 39,000 miles on it and looks like they have never been changed, add to that I had the loudest most annyoing squeaking sounds when I was going in reverse. Also the stock brake pads let out insane amounts of dust.

Rotors and brakes needed to be replaced so I went with Centric Premium Rotors along with Akebono ProAct Ceramic Brake pads.

I did all the work myself and it was pretty simple. Only thing that gave me a little bit of trouble where the pins in the rear calipers were a bit tricky to take off and put back on.

Rear brake pads, Akebono vs stock

Rear rotor comparison

Front Brake pads, geez look how worn down they were.

Front rotor, look how deep that groove is, looks like the previous owner really rode their brakes hard.

Front Rotors Comparison:

Side by side

Front rotor installed, next step will be to clean up the calipers and get them painted.

Thumbs up

Car looks great Diesel350. The first pics were great, but the post-cutting/polishing pics are amazing. Great job.

I just bought a GS350 recently, too.

Did some clean up on the calipers. I used Dupli-Color Primer, Gloss Black and then the Dupli-color protective clear-coat. I was hoping they came out a bit shiner. What do you guys think?

Looks good. Was going to do the same thing when I swap out my brakes. Upgrading to the GS430 fron caliper and adding adamsrotors.com rotors and Stoptech pads. Reverse the colors though black logo and silver calipers.

Decided to wrap the chrome on my grill with 3M 1080 Scotchprint Black Gloss Vinyl. I took apart the top part of the bumper grill area to get easier access to the chrome but I pretty much put the vinyl on there with the chrome still attached to the bumper. I believe you have to take the whole bumper off if you want to take the chrome piece off completely. I'm also thinking of wrapping the chrome around the headlights, what do you guy think?

If interested in where I got the vinyl you can buy it online here: http://www.metrorestyling.com/?Click=2881
