Well, I got a chance to see what everything looks like before it gets coated! Literally can not wait to see this all sitting pretty in my bay. Also trying to brace myself for what all this power is going to feel like.

Anyway, here are some pictures. The wastegate, dump tube and manifold are off getting coated. The rest needs a little more work and its off to get coated as well.

Now that is some awesome work.... Are you eventually going to run the dump tube back in to the exhaust?

Never gave that any thought. Was just gonna let it dump to the ground, but maybe through the exhaust would be fun. Lots of micro details I still need to has out before it's all finalized.

Surprise!

This stuff was definitely out of my buy order, but when a friend wakes you up at 3:30am to scoop up an incredible deal before someone else does.... you pony up! Glad I had the extra funds waiting around; I suppose that can be a lesson learned.

What I have are the "hard to come by" parts for my trans swap. I've ultimately decided to go with the CD009 trans.

All from Collins:

Stage 5 ACT Clutch
Pressure Plate
CD009 to JZ Adapter Plate
Slave Cylinder w/ Stainless Line
Clutch Fork
Flywheel
Release Bearing
Assorted Hardware for all of the above

^ All picked up in one package! All I need to source out now is the pedals (have my eye on another complete set deal), the trans and then finally have a driveshaft made for me!

That was easy!

Well, if my transmission surprise wasn't exciting... Here are some of my parts coated and finally finished.

The rest should be done by Friday and in my hands for a complete mock-up!

After some pretty ridiculous complications with my parts provider... 96 days later I finally have all of my stuff.

Won't even get into it, not exactly thrilled about the process that took place, but I finally have my hot parts kit completed and in my hands... Only issue now is that I need a new "parts guy"...

So here it is, all finished up and coated!

Old vs. New!

Can't wait to have everything sitting pretty in my bay!

My original goal to have my car finished was by May. Still might happen, but I need to do a lot of work before that happens, especially in the parts gathering department. Mini vacation plus buying a house in the middle of building a race car has started taking it's tolls on the ol wallet and "complete by" goal. Still pushing forward!

Back from the dead. I wish I could say I had some updates to release since my last... I don't have too many but we are definitely rolling now!

The best thing I could have ever bought for my car was my truck. Having a DD has made having a car project soooo much easier.

Even better yet, I bought myself a house! So much nicer knowing my car can hang out in one space for awhile, I have room and I don't have to worry about moving anytime soon!

I moved all of my stuff in one day and immediately positioned my car for its final resting place!

Tarp down for fluid loss and all! Picture doesn't really show it, but I have about 2 feet from my trunk to the garage door and I have about 8 feet from the back of the garage to the front of my car. I still need to build myself a bench and some storage shelves.

So while my girlfriend has been painting all of my walls, I've been sneaking out to the garage to pull my engine . I've never pulled an engine before, so I was pretty nervous about it. Fortunately, my car had been swapped before, so everything was surprisingly easy and I had no trouble with any bolts, clips, etc.

All in all, It was very easy to do... especially doing it by myself. I studied a "how to" removal front to back, asked questions and got it done. Only "bad' thing I did was lose some fluids to the floor. I didn't break any parts or any clips! Was pretty pumped about that. I can't believe how much more room I have to work now.

Next up I plan to remove my old turbo kit and send it off to its new owner, clean the block up and prep the bottom end to be sold off.

Once that is done, I'll be rerouting and deleting things in the bay, prepping it for paint and start the prep work for what will be a pretty in depth wire tuck (also a first for me).

Updates are really going to start rolling in now. As we speak, I may or may not have a certain bottom end being built fro me

^^ Good look.

I like those, I really want a new set of wheels and it's gotta be BBK-friendly.

Yes, ES7's in 19"

I might sell this set. I really like them, but I'm gonna chase some CCW classics. They are definitely BBK friendly.

Update:

Some goodies popped in for my 2jz bottom end. Should have the reliability factor covered now!

Manley Rods, CP Pistons, Upgrade wrist pins, ACL bearings.

I don't run spacers and there is enough space to clear the monster Jeep SRT8 Brembos.. Which are 6 pot fronts, 4 pot rear, 14" rotor.

Thinking of selling my coils too lol..

Wheels are in good shape, have 3k miles on them. Tires are brand new too!
