Thank you! I love it as well; its very nicely done.

I technically only paid $100 for it. Back a few pages in my thread I bought a downpipe and the one I received was fabricated pretty horribly, so I sent it back to get redone. What I have now is what I received. The guy who makes them would typically charged around $350 for it, but since my parts guy is friends with him, we got a favor. I can't complain. What was wronged was definitely righted!

Some decent progress last night

Installed this little bastard to start things off

Then slid my welded timing gear on. Had to install some new keys too. I figured this just slid on.... not so much lol

Then onto my new waterpump and o-ring. Also slid on my little timing belt keeper and installed my belt tensioner. Got lucky and had some brand new bolts lingering around that fit!

PHR Timing Belt Tensioner on and new bolt. It's a shame this gets covered up; it's a really nice looking piece.

Started the process of torquing my cam gear pulleys down and had some trouble getting my exhaust cam to turn. Turns out, a shim fell out, so I had to remove the cam, fix and reinstall. Got that taken care of, set my cams to TDC and then my crank to 1 tooth before TDC (tip I was given?) and then slid my timing belt on. I didn't pull the pin yet on anything as everything I was basically doing today was pretty much a mock up. I'll go through everything important to insure it's good, then pull the pin.

I finally got the exhaust housing to my turbo (with v-band welded on) in the mail as well as my fixed and corrected exhaust manifold and wastegate dumptube. Both turned out great and are way better than before (I also sent these back to be fixed). I told myself I wouldn't install everything until it was 100% ready to go on.... buuut I couldn't help myself and did it anyway.

Now, I still need to get a new power steering pump and alternator. I then decided I would get myself one of those new fancy PHR billet pulley sets (in black of course). I also need to get my valve covers coated black, as well as my turbo housing, downpipe, dumptube and my exhaust manifold redone. Final product is going to look AMAZING! However, here is a teaser for now.

Slight update before I start some final assembly!

I got all of my primary visible components ceramic coated. Everything should look really good all put together!

Compressor housing, exhaust housing, dump tube, downpipe, exhaust manifold, water neck and valve covers! This all should help with keeping some temps down. I still intend to get a turbo blanket and possibly at some exhaust wrap to the exhaust manfiold.

Haven't done too much lately. Did snag a REALLY good deal on some brakes though. Front and rear SRT8 Brembo's. The fronts are MASSIVE! Going from a 10" to a 14" rotor. Shouldn't have any issues stopping now!

Hoping to at the very least start and break in the motor in this year. My wheels/tires/suspension/diff parts are yet another large cost, so with some luck and planning, I'll be driving this car in 2018!

Hard to tell here, but these new fronts are at least twice the size of the stock set. This isn't a final mounting position or anything, just a quick little mock-up for size comparison.

No sir. All that is really needed are the adapters to fit the calipers on. I still need to get my rotors and decide on pads. I'll be going with ISF slotted rotors for the front and rear. Pads up front I have tons of options. You need the right wheels up front to clear the calipers as well. I'll end up with 19" CCW Classics up front, so clearing won't be an issue.
